Amir Garrett Suspended Seven Games For Incident Saturday
Amir Garrett has been suspended seven games for his role in instigating a benches-clearing incident against the Cubs on Saturday, according to Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Garrett screamed and pounded his chest after striking out Anthony Rizzo, which led to both benches coming out onto the field. Garrett is appealing the suspension and will remain active pending the outcome of his appeal. In 8 2/3 innings of work this season, Garrett has seven strikeouts with two saves and a 10.38 ERA.
