Amari Cooper Could Miss Start Of Training Camp
4 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper (ankle) might not be ready for the start of training camp at the end of July as he tries to calm the irritation in his ankle. Cooper obviously isn't taking part in minicamp this month because of an irritation in his ankle that took place around two weeks ago. He has not been running for the last two weeks and is unlikely to do so for probably the next two to three weeks. The injury isn't serious enough to require surgery, so rest is the prescription for now. The 26-year-old also had a minor ankle surgery in early January of this year, so this is an injury worth watching. It shouldn't negatively affect his fantasy draft value just yet, and Cooper has been much more consistent as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 with Dallas. With quarterback Dak Prescott expected to be fully healthy for the start of the season, Cooper will be in good hands.
