Alexandar Georgiev Keeps Building Momentum
2 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Alexandar Georgiev stopped 28 of 29 shots during a very good performance against the Canucks Friday night. Elias Pettersson got a goal against him in the second period, but Georgiev didn't give up anything else and recorded his second consecutive win with a 4-1 scoreline. The Avalanche No. 1 has started to recover from a poor spell that saw him go 1-5-1 in seven starts. On Friday, Georgiev improved to 18-11-3 for the season, and he has a 2.64 goals-against average with a .918 save percentage and two shutouts. Pavel Francouz looks set to start Saturday against Seattle, but Georgiev should be a busy man again next week as he tries to become the seventh goalie in the league this season with 20 wins
