The Los Angeles Kings picked center Alex Turcotte with the No. 5 overall selection in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft on Friday. Turcotte, who is committed to the University of Wisconsin for at least the 2019-20 season, is another player grabbed from the United States National U18 team, posting 27 goals and 62 points in 37 games during USHL play. Turcotte grew up in the Chicagoland area, and was a Blackhawks player growing up, patterning his game after Jonathan Toews. If he pans out like Toews, Kings fans and fantasy owners in long-term keeper pools would be very pleased.--Daniel DobishRead More News
