Alex Lange Completes Save Number Seven On Sunday
12 months agoDetroit Tigers closer Alex Lange locked up his seventh save of the season on Sunday after pitching the ninth inning of the 5-3 win over the Seattle Mariners. He walked two but matched it with two punchouts and didn't allow a hit. Lange now owns a 1.06 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 33.8% strikeout rate this year over 17 innings. The 27-year-old won't be as dominant in the run prevention department for the whole season, considering his 3.48 xFIP, but fantasy managers can trust that the right-hander will provide value in four categories for the remainder of 2023 as the Tigers main arm out of the bullpen.
