Alex Collins Added To Active Roster
4 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks elevated running back Alex Collins from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday. Collins will give Seattle more depth behind rookie DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer in Week 9 against the Bills with running backs Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) both missing their second straight game. Head coach Pete Carroll said he'd be comfortable playing the former fifth-round pick against Buffalo, although Dallas is expected to see the majority of the touches this weekend. Expect the 26-year-old to have a limited role while spelling Dallas and Homer, but he's unlikely to play enough snaps to warrant fantasy consideration in standard-sized leagues.
