Alex Bregman "Feeling Better"
Alex Bregman (quadriceps) is making good progress due to a right-quadriceps injury that landed him on the 10-day injured list on May 24. "Getting treatment, feeling better. Good to see him around. Obviously helping everybody. But in good spirits. So it was a good week for him," manager Alex Cora said. It's good news for the 31-year-old veteran, but it's still hard to estimate when he might be back at the hot corner in Beantown. Until he's able to return -- he could miss anywhere from six to eight weeks -- rookie infielder Marcelo Mayer should hold down duties at third base in Boston. All fantasy managers can do is stay patient and hope Bregman returns sooner or later and picks up where he left off offensively. Before his injury, Bregman was one of the team's most consistent bats with a .299/.385/.553 slash line, 11 homers, 35 RBI and 32 runs scored in 197 at-bats.
