6 years agoHouston Astros infielder Alex Bregman continues to take on more of the offensive load heading into the stretch run and is carrying the team right now. Injuries to George Springer, Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa have sapped the thump out of an elite Astros lineup but Bregman has been as steady as they come. The 24-year-old is slugging .600 over his last 25 at-bats and is coming off of a 3-for-5 performance Sunday against the A's that included his 24th home run of the season. He has already blown by his career-high totals of a season ago and is projected to finish the year with 30 home runs and 97 runs batted in. Bregman has been one of the biggest fantasy breakout players this season and should continue to drive in runs in the heart of the Astros lineup for the stretch run.--Joey C - RotoBaller
