Alex Bowman Confident Despite Qualifying 21st At Kansas
Alex Bowman doesn't have the best starting position for this weekend's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, but that doesn't mean the No. 48 Chevrolet is lacking in speed. Bowman got on X soon after qualifying was over on Saturday to explain that going out early in qualifying hurt him from putting down a fast lap, but noted that he was confident that he has a good car for Sunday's race. As far as track history goes, Bowman has been stellar at Kansas Speedway, with no result outside of the top 10 in his five Next Gen starts here. Pair that with the fact that the No. 48 Chevrolet has shown great speed at both Las Vegas and Texas this season--which are also low-wear, 1.5-mile tracks similar to Kansas--and Bowman is looking like a very strong fantasy pick on Sunday. At just $7,800 on DraftKings, Bowman has top-five finishing upside with room for Place Differential points at a very palatable DFS salary. He's one of the strongest picks to go with on the slate this weekend at Kansas.
