Florida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov notched his first goal of the 2019-2020 campaign on Wednesday, helping lift his team to a 4-3 overtime victory over the Colorado Avalanche. The Panthers' captain found the back of the net on the man advantage in the second period and also recorded an assist, a plus-two rating, and two shots on goal in 22:28 of ice time in the game. While Barkov had previously been blanked in the goal department through his first 12 games, the 24-year-old had still been checking in at over a point-per-game and now has 15 points in 13 contests. After burying a career-high 35 goals last season, Barkov should take off after getting his first one. He'll look to carry his momentum over to his next time out against the Red Wings on Saturday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
