Alek Manoah Sees Value Rise, Strikes Out Four More
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah was overpowering again on Thursday against the Detroit Tigers. The former first-round pick struck out four batters over two no-hit, shutout innings. He's now struck out 15 of the 24 batters that he's faced this spring thanks to his 95-97 mph fastball and power slider. He's allowed just one hit and has yet to walk a batter in seven innings. Manoah, who is not on the 40-man roster, will open the year at the alternate training site before moving to high-A or double-A when the minor league season begins. He spent the full 2020 season at the alternate training site. Manoah is ranked by Rotoballer as the 93rd-best dynasty prospect in baseball.
