Albert Okwuegbunam Hard To Trust On Sunday Night
2 years agoDenver Broncos tight end Albert Okwuegbunam has been disappointing through the first two weeks of the season as the team's primary pass-catching tight end, hauling in five of his eight targets for 33 yards. Eric Saubert had the team's lone touchdown in the Week 2 win over the Houston Texans. Okwuegbunam could be more involved on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers if receiver Jerry Jeudy (chest) and KJ Hamler (hip, knee) don't play, but it's not reassuring that Albert O failed to catch either of his two targets last week when Jeudy was injured in the first half and Hamler didn't play at all. On top of it, the 49ers D has allowed a league-low 1.6 fantasy points per game in half-point PPR leagues to TEs through two weeks. Okwuegbunam shouldn't be in starting lineups until we see his role increase in the Denver offense.
