Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad had his night cut short by an apparent left leg injury in Sunday's 4-1 win over Dallas. He got tangled up with Esa Lindell in the middle of the second frame and landed awkwardly. Ekblad had to be stretchered off and sadly it looked like a season-ending injury. The 24-year-old rearguard is tied for the league-lead in goals among defensemen this season with 11 markers, and he has 22 points to his name in 35 games with 101 shots, 27 blocks and 24 hits. Ekblad logs over 25 minutes a night, so the Panthers will have quite a gap to fill.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
