NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 3/12/16

By Keith Allison from Hanover, MD, USA (John Wall, Stephen Curry) [CC BY-SA 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Jason Bales highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/12/16, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster on FanDuel.

Witnessing a player get stretchered out of the game is definitely not something anyone wants to have to do, but it does make for some great value plays the next night in fantasy.

Take advantage of the Sixers' loss and fire up Carl Landry in all formats. Continue reading to see who else makes for a great play tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/12/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Stephen Curry (vs PHO, $10,600)

Stephen Curry should only be used in tournaments tonight, as he plays the Phoenix Suns. The Suns are one of the worst teams in the league defensively, and the Golden State Warriors have the best offense that the modern NBA has ever seen. This sounds great for Curry tonight, but the game is most likely going to be over by halftime. Fortunately, Curry will likely play until the fourth quarter regardless. He should seriously post over 70 fantasy points in around 25-30 minutes on the court. Avoid him in 50/50 contests.

Ish Smith (vs DET, $6,700)

Ish Smith neared a triple-double against the Brooklyn Nets in his last game. He posted over 30 fantasy points yet again, and it looks like he is starting to heat up. After Covington and Grant hit the floor hard, it'll be interesting to see if either of them suit up tonight. It is looking unlikely right now. Covington sitting out helps Smith, as it opens up a lot more shots for him. The Detroit Pistons are not great defensively, and this game could stay close. Smith is usable in all leagues right now.

Jerryd Bayless (vs NOR, $4,200)

Jerryd Bayless played 40 minutes in his last game, which was against the Miami Heat, but he did not look all that impressive. Unfortunately for Bayless, Giannis Antetokounmpo is not the Milwaukee Bucks primary ball-handler, which means that Bayless will have to adjust to spot-up shooting. This is something that he can definitely excel at, but it'll take a game or two for him to get adjusted. His price tag is too low tonight to not consider him in a couple of tournaments, especially against the terrible New Orleans Pelicans' defense.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kevin Durant (at SA, $10,900)

Kevin Durant is consistently posting over 50 fantasy points in every single game he plays in. Unfortunately, he did not look great in his last game. He should be able to turn things around tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. Actually, he will have to turn things around if the Oklahoma City Thunder want to keep this game competitive. Kawhi Leonard is one of the best defenders in the league, but Durant is one of the best scorers in the league. If worse comes to worst, it'll at least be interesting to keep an eye on.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs NOR, $9,600)

Giannis Antetokounmpo should be used in all formats tonight. As I previously stated, he is the primary ball-handler for the Milwaukee Bucks, which means that he is going to continue to grow as a player. He already knows how to score, assist, rebound, block, and steal, so he can't learn much more, but he can get better at all of those categories. He is going to destroy the New Orleans Pelicans tonight, and if he continues down his current path, he could quickly become a household name, which would be very difficult for someone with the last name Antetokounmpo.

Carl Landry (vs DET, $3,600)

If both Robert Covington and Jerami Grant are out tonight, Carl Landry is going to have to play big minutes. Even if just Covington sits out, which is very likely considering he was recently stretchered off the court, Landry should easily crush value. In his last game, which was against the Brooklyn Nets, he posted over 25 fantasy points in 25 minutes of action. That was basically only in one half because Covington and Grant collided in the third quarter. Use him in all formats.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Chris Andersen (at ATL, $3,500)

Chris Andersen is set to return tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. If he does, use him. Zach Randolph is questionable to return tonight, and if he sits out, Andersen gets a bump. However, even if Z-Bo does suit up, Andersen should see big minutes and produce accordingly. The Memphis Grizzlies are running out of active players, so "bird-man" could be a huge offensive and defensive asset, which is not something I ever thought I would say again.
