Mitch Garver is a catcher fantasy baseball draft sleeper, and an ADP draft value for 2024. Target Garver as an undervalued catcher in fantasy baseball drafts.
ANALYSIS: Mitch Garver is settling in quite nicely with his new team this Spring. The former Minnesota and Texas catcher is hitting .346 in Spring Training with 2 home runs and ten RBI.
The soon-to-be 33-year-old finished 2023 with a .500 slugging percentage and 134 OPS+ while hitting 19 home runs over 87 games. Garver has now topped 130 OPS+ in three seasons.
With Cal Raleigh firmly entrenched as the starting backstop in Seattle, Garver will likely only catch a handful of games and act as a designated hitter.
ATC projections have Garver hitting 21 home runs this year but with only a .236 average. Nick Mariano's projections have Garver hitting .257 but with less power (only 18 HR). He's a solid option in two catcher leagues, AL-only leagues, and any deeper formats.
