ANALYSIS: The veteran wideout, Marquise Brown, inked a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs before the 2024 season, but was rarely active for them as he dealt with a shoulder injury. He was only able to appear in two regular seasons, but was able to suit up in all three of their postseason contests.
During these five games, Brown averaged just 28.2 yards per game and saw 5.6 targets per game. During Weeks 16 and 17, Brown tallied 45.5 yards per game but took the backseat in the postseason.
However, with a full offseason under his belt, Brown appears to be in a good position to bounce back in 2025. In addition, with top wideout Rashee Rice slated to miss the first six games of the regular season due to a suspension, Brown is slated to open the season as the team's No. 2 wideout, opposite Xavier Worthy.
Leading up to their Week 1 contest against the Chargers, Brown was dealing with an ankle injury. However, he was able to log full practices during the week and has recently received a vote of confidence from his head coach.
While he showed little upside last season, given that he is slated to open the season as the team's No. 2 WR, Brown carries sneaky WR3 upside in a potential high-scoring affair, facing a potent Los Angeles offense. He is also worth a look as an upside play in DFS competitions.
