The Miami Dolphins had high hopes coming into this NFL season, but a 1-3 start and the dismissal of their head coach has them wondering where to go next. The lack of use of running back Lamar Miller has been a reason for Miami's struggles this season, and the team needs to get him going against the Tennessee Titans.
Miller finished with 1,100 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2014, but he's only on pace for 524 yards and zero scores this season. The Dolphins would be wise to start feeding him the ball more, and I look for them to do that against a Titans defense that is allowing 117 yards per game on the ground, which ranks 23rd in the NFL. Tennessee has also allowed 4 rushing touchdowns this season, which means Miller could finally reach the end zone for the first time this year.
Fantasy players have every right to be discouraged if they own Miller in their leagues. He's yet to finish with more than 53 yards in a game on the ground, and the most points he's put up in a game so far is 7.5, according to standard scoring leagues. However, a shift in the offense under a new head coach should see Miller get many more touches on Sunday, especially against a defense that has had a difficult time stopping the run.
