Kyle Pitts fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit Kyle Pitts for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 8+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts has been one of the most polarizing and frustrating players in fantasy football over the past few years. However, 2024 might be the year he finally emerges as a trustworthy option.
Working in Pitts' favor is the addition of quarterback Kirk Cousins, whose dependability under center should elevate the entire offense, including its former first-round tight end.
Through 17 games last year, Pitts caught 53 passes for 667 yards and three touchdowns. He set a career-high for touchdowns but didn't come close to the volume he saw as a rookie. That should change in 2024; Cousins could help Pitts set career highs in all major categories.

Pitts opens his fourth NFL season with a clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers allowed the 14th-most receptions, yards, and fantasy points to tight ends in 2023, as well as the ninth-most touchdowns.
Pitts has top-three tight end potential with Cousins under center, but we need to temper expectations until we see that level of production for several weeks in a row. Until then, he's still worth starting in most leagues, but perhaps with slightly less confidence.
