Kenneth Walker III is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Man down! First of all, here's hoping for a quick and healthy recovery for Rashaad Penny, Seattle's no. 1 back. It finally looked like Penny's SZN had arrived and now he'll be out for a while with a broken leg. It sucks for everyone not playing this silly fantasy game, honestly.
Back to the fantasy realm, it's time to take advantage of such a unique situation. Good for Penny's GMs out there and for those looking for windows of opportunity, rookie Kenneth Walker III is still available in more than half of Yahoo leagues.
If there were still doubts about Walker's upside before Week 5 they should have now been cleared. With Penny out, he's undoubtedly going to jump head-first into the RB1 role in Seattle's backfield and he should be commanding 15+ opportunities per game easily with upside for many more.
KW3 has only appeared on 24%, 13%, and 36% of all Seattle's offensive snaps but that number should jump up a bit going forward, even more considering he's been banged up in his rookie season.
Just peep at Walker's Week 5 outing and you'll see what will happen in the minutes he takes on a full-time RB1 role: eight carries, 88 yards, and the first touchdown of the year for KW3. As good as it reads.
Not much more to say about a clear backup-to-RB1 man in Walker. Just add him, deploy him, and enjoy him.
