ANALYSIS: Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was benched in favor of rookie Aidan O'Connell after the team's Week 8 loss to the Detroit Lions. That said, his fantasy value in all formats went to zero.

However, O'Connell is on the hot seat after failing to lead the Raiders to a single scoring drive against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. A report by The Athletic's Vic Tafur suggested it would be likely the Raiders would bench O'Connell if he played poorly this week. It looks like the rookie will get a chance to start on Thursday, but his leash could be short.
If he's benched, Garoppolo or veteran Brian Hoyer would take over. Ultimately, the entire Raiders' quarterback room should be faded in Week 15. We could see two Raiders quarterbacks play against the Los Angeles Chargers in primetime, and this is not a situation worth gambling on in the first round of the fantasy football playoffs.
