Detroit forward Isaiah Stewart is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 12 of the NBA season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Pistons have done plenty of tinkering with the rotation and roster this season, and Isaiah Stewart is increasingly benefitting from those adjustments. After Blake Griffin went inactive for Detroit, an even greater window of opportunity opened for the University of Washington rookie behind Mason Plumlee, and his usage has peaked through March.
In four games this month, Stewart has averaged 20.5 minutes, and in that time has produced 8.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.25 blocks, while shooting his best percentage from the field for the season (71.4%), and has even converted on his lone three-point attempt. Depending on the Pistons' approach to the rotation moving forward, if Stewart can remain around the 20.0 MPG mark, his level of efficiency will net solid statistical volume in a few categories. His 5% block percentage, 58.8% true shooting percentage, 57.1% effective field goal rate, and increasing three-point propensity manifest into serviceable numbers on a nightly basis of late, while his 17.6% rebound rate is the real bread and butter. As Isaiah Stewart is heating up, his success is something you'll want to be a part of in deeper leagues.
