Isaac TeSlaa - Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Fantasy Football Picks for Week 1 (2025)

Isaac-TeSlaa-Fantasy-Football-Rankings-Draft-Sleepers-NFL-Rookies

Isaac TeSlaa start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football picks for Week 1 of 2025. Should you start or sit Isaac TeSlaa for fantasy football lineups in Week 1?

BALLER MOVE: Sit in most leagues

POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4/Bench Stash

ANALYSIS: Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa has made a name for himself in the preseason and is making a strong case to open his rookie season in a starting role.

The Lions selected TeSlaa in the third round with the 70th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Arkansas. At Arkansas, TeSlaa was never overly productive as his highest career mark is 545 receiving yards and three scores, which he tallied during his final campaign in 2024.

However, during the preseason, the young wideout found the back of the net in the final three games (excluding the Hall of Fame Game) and finished the preseason by totaling 41 yards with a score against the Houston Texans. Shortly after this game, the Lions opted to trade veteran wideout Tim Patrick to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While this trade did not appear to be significant, it opened up the No. 3 spot on the depth chart for TeSlaa. While he is currently slated to compete alongside Kalif Raymond for the role, given his rather impressive preseason, the rookie appears poised to open the season in the starting role.

Despite his surging stock, fantasy managers should continue to view him as an upside stash option in 12+ team leagues and not as a viable top option in Week 1. If he sees consistent targets in Week 1, he could enter flex conversation in deeper leagues for Week 2.
