Workers around the globe return to work after a lengthy vacation, only to be less motivated and more drained than before they left. Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers does not appear to fall into that camp.

While he's on the injury report with a calf issue that bothered him before his two-week break, Flowers appears ready to suit up for the first playoff game of his career.

Is Zay Flowers Injured or Healthy?

Zay Flowers practiced in a limited capacity on Tuesday, Baltimore's first official session of the week. It's the first time that the rookie has participated since Week 17, although the Ravens had nothing to play for in the regular season finale and they earned a bye week for the first round of the postseason. On Wednesday, he was upgraded to a full participant.

Flowers will suit up against the Houston Texans on Saturday. The first-round pick went for over 100 yards against the Dolphins in Week 17 when he was last listed on the injury report, although he did play his fewest amount of snaps all season.

Zay Flowers Fantasy Football Outlook

The 2023 postseason has been defined by outstanding debuts. Jordan Love, C.J. Stroud, Rashee Rice, and Puka Nacua all exploded in their first playoff games. Is Flowers next?

Flowers contributed immediate production in his first campaign. He caught 77 passes for 858 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games. Flowers shined against different coverages, posting the sixth-best win rate against man-to-man and an even better percentage against the zone. He also boasts a top-ten ranking in separation yards per target.

Flowers will see his fair share of Houston cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. this weekend. Typically, Stingley doesn't shadow the opponent's top wideout. But, after the secondary was torched by Amari Cooper just weeks prior, Stingley tailed Cleveland's top option, allowing just one reception for negative yardage as the nearest defender. Flowers isn't in the same echelon as Cooper right now, so Stingley may revert to playing exclusively on his side of the field.

Baltimore's All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews should also be back in the lineup on Saturday. He's been out since Week 11, with what was believed at the time to be a season-ending ankle injury. He'll return to being Lamar Jackson's top option, should he see the field.
