Is Ezekiel Elliott Hurt Or Healthy?
Ezekiel Elliott entered 2022 as a notable fantasy producer. While his role in the Dallas Cowboys backfield has remained substantial, his output has dipped a bit as backfield mate, Tony Pollard, continues to see an increasing workload.
The Dallas legend has missed the 'Boys last two games with a knee injury after sitting out as a game-time decision in Week 10.
Ezekiel Elliott Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 11
After getting in limited practice sessions on both Wednesday and Thursday, it appears that Elliott is trending in the right direction for a Week 11 clash with the Minnesota Vikings.
ESPN's Ed Werder reported Thursday that Elliott himself is expecting to return against the Vikings in Week 11.
While Elliott's return to the lineup will likely make Dallas a better football team, his fantasy outlook remains murky. His backfield mate, Tony Pollard, has performed beautifully in his absence by racking up 275 total yards and four TDs over the Cowboys' last two.
Pollard has undoubtedly been the more explosive back for Dallas this season and his performance in Zeke's absence means he'll most likely retain a substantial workload even if Elliott does return in Week 11. Pollard's presence will severely limit Elliott's fantasy upside for the foreseeable future and fantasy GMs should consider Zeke a TD-dependant RB2/3 if he's able to suit up against the Vikings this week.
