New York Knicks - NBA Betting Analysis

In New York's most recent game, Jalen Brunson led the team in scoring with 20 points, but the Knicks fell to the Heat by a score of 105-86 to the Heat. Going into the game, oddsmakers had New York as the 4.0-point underdog, resulting in an ATS loss for the team.

Now, the Knicks' overall record sits at 47-35, placing them 5th in the Eastern Conference. The team's current record at home is 23-18 and 24-17 on the road. For the season, the Knicks are 49-39 vs. the spread but have failed to cover in three straight games.

For the season, the Knicks are the 15th-ranked scoring unit in the NBA at 116.0 points per game. But looking at their previous five games, the team is in danger of falling in the rankings as they have averaged just 101 points per contest. So far, the Knicks' shooters have hit just 35.4% of their three-point field goal attempts, placing them just 29th in the league. As a whole, the team is 25th in field goal percentage at 47.0%. In terms of pace, New York is below the league average at 97.7 possessions per game (33rd).

This season, the New York defense ranks 7th in the league, giving up an average of 106.6 points per game. Opposing teams have a field goal percentage of 44.9% and have knocked down 34.2% of their three-point attempts. The Knicks also rank 5th in the NBA for defensive rebounds. However, when it comes to forcing turnovers, New York is only 35th, with 12.0 turnovers forced per game.

Miami Heat - NBA Betting Analysis

The Heat enter today's game looking to build some momentum after a 105-86 win over the Knicks. Jimmy Butler and his 28 led the way for the Heat. Not only did Miami win the game, but they also covered the spread as 4.0-point favorites.

With the win, the team has moved to 44-38, placing them 8th in the Eastern Conference. So far this season, they have gone 27-14 at home and 17-24 on the road. Even though the Heat have rattled off 6 straight wins against the spread, their overall ATS record is 39-51.

Despite being ranked 23rd in the NBA with an average of 109.5 points per game, the Heat have improved their performance lately. In their last five games, they have scored an average of 113 points per contest. This season, the Heat are ranked 23rd in terms of pace with an average of 96.2 possessions per game. In terms of three-point shooting, they are one of the more efficient teams in the league (29th) with a percentage of 35.4%. Their overall field goal percentage of 47.0% places them 25th in the NBA.

Defensively, the Heat are one of the top units in basketball in large part due to their ability to force turnovers. This season, Miami is generating an average of 12.8 turnovers per game which is 10th in the NBA. They have also done an excellent job cleaning up the boards, ranking 5th in the league. Overall, they are allowing 106.6 points per game (7th) while allowing teams to hit 34.2% of their three-point attempts.

Today's NBA Betting Pick - Knicks vs. Heat

Today's matchup will be the 7th game of the season between the Knicks and the Heat. So far, the Knicks have the leg up in the series 4-3. In the last head-to-head matchup, the Heat were favored by 4.0 points. Even though they won straight up by a score of 105-86, they did not cover the spread. The combined 191 points failed to exceed the over/under line of 207.0.

In the Knicks' previous five games as the favorite, they have a straight-up record of 2-3 while going 2-2-1 against the spread. Across their last three road games, they are 1-2 ATS and 1-2 straight up. Their previous ten games have an over/under mark of 2-8 with an average of 213 points per contest.

Across Miami's last five games at home, they have an ATS mark of 4-1 while going 3-2 straight-up. As the favorite, the Heat are 2-1 straight up on an average scoring differential of 1 point per game. This has led to an ATS mark of 2-1. Their previous ten games have ended in an average of 226 points per game and an over/under mark of 6-4.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: MIA -4.5

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Under 206.0
