Joe Burrow - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

RotoBaller's 2025 fantasy football quarterback rankings for redraft leagues. These are post-NFL Draft rankings for fantasy football QBs.

The new fantasy football season is inching closer, and it's never too early to take a peek at next year's rankings. Quarterbacks have become as important as ever in fantasy football, so we're here to assist your early-draft efforts with our early 2025 fantasy football quarterback rankings for redraft leagues. In the rankings below, check out where key fantasy signal-callers such as Jayden Daniels, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Caleb Williams, Cam Ward, and Justin Fields stand, among all other QB options.

There is no shortage of rushing and mobile quarterbacks in today's NFL, yet the late-round QB strategy hasn't been as popular thanks to the emergence of elite QB1s like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Jalen Hurts. We're in for another interesting year at the position.

We're cranking away all year with fantasy football content -- so be sure to also check out our 2025 best ball fantasy football rankings, 2025 dynasty fantasy football rankings, and 2025 NFL rookie fantasy football rankings. Whatever you're interested in, we've got you covered. RotoBaller's lead NFL analyst Nick Mariano has put together these initial 2025 PPR rankings, which will, of course, be updated regularly throughout the NFL offseason. As injuries happen and depth charts shake up, be sure to check back in.

Fantasy Football Quarterback Player Outlooks

Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2024 was the year of all years for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield. He set career highs in passing yards, passing touchdowns, completion percentage, and quarterback rating. Mayfield would finish 2024 as the overall QB4. It was nice to see him finally meet expectations as a former number one overall pick. As we turn the page to 2025, we must acknowledge that Mayfield played at a level we had never seen from him before in 2024.

His 41 touchdown passes tied for second in the league, and his 7.2% touchdown rate blew past his career mark of 5.0%. As much fun as it was seeing Mayfield hit his ceiling, he is a major regression candidate for 2025. Due to his monster 2024, Mayfield is one of the first quarterbacks coming off draft boards.

He has an average NFFC ADP of 48.68 overall. That feels steep for a player who is likely to regress to his career means across the board. Mayfield is certainly a better real-life quarterback than many fantasy gamers thought, but he's a fade at his current price in drafts.

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

Going into his seventh season, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has yet to establish himself among the NFL's elite at the position. While he has shown flashes of brilliance, Murray always seems to fall back to earth by the end of the season, and 2024 was no exception. After earning a quarterback rating of over 75 in five of his first 12 games, Murray failed to top a QBR of 60 in each of his last five games, throwing eight touchdowns to five interceptions in that span.

Worryingly, Murray still has bad habits of locking onto his first read and holding onto the ball for too long. According to Pro Football Network, Murray held the ball against the blitz, the 7th-most in the league. Overall, the former No. 1 overall pick finished with 3,851 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while rushing for 572 yards and five touchdowns over 17 games last season.

This will be a pivotal year for Murray, as he has all the help he needs to thrive: a great offensive line (6th-best in the NFL according to PFN), a solid RB in James Conner, and a talented receiving corps headlined by WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and TE Trey McBride. The 27-year-old mentioned this offseason that he wants to run more in 2025, and his 572 rushing yards ranked fourth in the league among all quarterbacks.

Expect Murray to improve slightly from 2024, but his lack of consistency means he will likely remain a low-end QB1. RotoBaller's offseason rankings align with Murray being a borderline QB1 and have him ranked as QB11 heading into 2025 fantasy football drafts.

- Joey Sheiner

Drake Maye, New England Patriots

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is in a prime position to take a second-year leap forward. The Patriots have overhauled their offense by improving on the offensive line and bringing in offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who has a history of success with young quarterbacks. Maye was a legitimate streaming option at quarterback in 2024. He threw for 2,276 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 13 games. Most notably, Maye rushed for 421 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

His athleticism could unlock a serious fantasy season, especially since Maye was already a legitimate streaming option as a rookie. Additionally, the Patriots added wide receiver Stefon Diggs in free agency and drafted running back TreVeyon Henderson. The offense could still use another weapon or two, but those two additions are enough to boost Maye's stock. In 2024, Maye displayed toughness in the pocket and immense talent. With the stability the Patriots appear to be attempting to provide, Maye could thrive.

Year 2 is often the season in which quarterbacks take a massive leap forward. There is certainly no reason to believe that Maye will take a step back this season. Maye is being drafted as a mid-range QB2, but do not expect him to finish there. RotoBaller has Maye ranked at QB15, which is slightly higher than his ADP. This is a player that many could be kicking themselves for passing on during fantasy draft season.

Justin Fields, New York Jets

Justin Fields began the 2024 season as the Pittsburgh Steelers' starting quarterback. Despite having a 4-2 record to open the season, Pittsburgh opted to bench Fields in favor of veteran Russell Wilson. Not surprisingly, Fields spurned Pittsburgh in free agency and opted to sign a two-year, $40 million deal with the New York Jets. Whether he is the team's long-term quarterback solution is very much up in the air. For now, Fields is set to begin the 2025 season as New York's QB1.

He showed last year that he still carries plenty of upside for fantasy football purposes. Fields averaged 19.5 fantasy points per game in his six starts and finished as a QB1 three times during that span. This was in large part due to his ability as a rusher. The new Jets regime has made it clear they want to fully incorporate Fields' legs into its offense.

One thing working against Fields is that it's unclear how long a leash he'll have if the team starts losing games. One thing is for certain. As long as Fields is starting, he's a viable fantasy football QB1. With an NFFC average ADP of 118.76 overall, Fields is an ideal target for gamers who wait to draft a quarterback.
