FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/28/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dan Palyo highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/28/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my favorite FanDuel plays for tonight's 10-game NBA slate. It's another great slate of NBA DFS action tonight with a loaded mid-tier on FanDuel which is where the majority of my plays are going to come from today. There are some major question marks on this slate with several high-priced studs Luka Doncic and Trae Young both questionable. The only other player over 10k tonight is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is probably for the Bucks game against the Thunder.

While fitting in multiple studs is definitely a viable strategy, I'm likely going to be going with more balanced builds in my cash game and GPP lineups. We don't have all the Vegas totals out yet since there are significant injuries to superstars that Vegas is waiting on before setting the lines. However, there are four games that already have 230 totals or more with Minnesota-Orlando, Brooklyn-Atlanta, Milwaukee-Oklahoma City, and Utah-Washington topping the list. The Brooklyn-Atlanta game is probably my favorite of that group with Minnesota-Orlando a close second. Both Milwaukee and Utah are double-digit favorites so there is some blowout concern there.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/28/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. FanDuel DFS Guards

Ricky Rubio - PG, PHO vs. DET ($6,400)

Let's start with the hottest point guard on the slate, Ricky Rubio. The Suns get a great matchup against a depleted Detroit team full of youngsters and retreads and I expect Rubio to feast on the likes of Derrick Rose and Brandon Knight. Rubio is averaging 17 points, five rebounds, and 10 assists over his last four games and is finally regaining some of the solid form that we saw him in earlier this season. With Kelly Oubre out of the lineup for what looks like the rest of season with a knee injury, we should expect Rubio to continue to help teammate Devin Booker pick up the slack on offense.

Caris Levert  - SG, BKN @ATL ($7,200)

We just right from one scorching hot guard to another in Caris LeVert of the Brooklyn Nets. LeVert is sporting averages of 23 points, five rebounds, and five assists over his last five games and is finally seeing his price adjusted by FanDuel after sitting under 7k for that entire stretch. You can argue that he is still underpriced for his upside here in this spot against the Hawks, a team I love targeting with guards. This game environment should be great for fantasy production and LeVert has a massive 31% usage rate over that five-game stretch, making him my preferred Brooklyn guard over teammate Spencer Dinwiddie.

Malik Beasley - SG, MIN @ ORL ($5,800)

Speaking of guards who can't seem to get a price hike, Beasley is still under 6k on FanDuel despite averaging 21 points, six boards, and three assists since being acquired by Minnesota and landing the starting shooting guard gig for the Timberwolves. Beasley is playing well alongside new teammate D'Angelo Russell and has become a very reliable second option on offense for Minnesota while Karl-Anthony Towns continues to be out injured. His rebounding gives him a really solid floor and his scoring production is incredibly steady. He's a great cash game option tonight.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Harry Giles  - PF, SAC @ MEM ($4,800)

Giles is a nice salary relief option tonight at the PF position. He's seen a nice uptick in production and minutes over his last three games and has posted 33, 32, and 29 FanDuel points in that stretch. The Kings played last night, but Giles only played 24 minutes so I'm not too concerned about fatigue here for such a young player. The matchup here is great for the big man as Memphis is badly depleted in the frontcourt and allowing some of the most offensive rebounds and putbacks in the NBA.

Kevin Porter Jr. - SF, CLE @ NO ($4,700)

Porter is an exciting young player for the Cavs who is only one game removed from a career-high 30 points against Miami. Tonight, Cleveland gets the New Orlean Pelicans in a game that features two bad defenses and a nice pace increase for the Cavs. I love targeting Porter and possibly teammate Collin Sexton in this pace-up spot. The price is right on the Cavs tonight and they could be low-owned pieces that help you differentiate from the rest of the pack. I expect Porter to be lower owned than Jae Crowder, who is a more proven commodity for only 100 dollars more.

Aaron Gordon - PF, ORL vs. MIN ($7,800)

Gordon continues our theme of hot players today as he's been absolutely scorching over his last five games, posting 22 points, 10 boards, and six assists per game. He's played 40+ minutes in three of those games and we are finally seeing what he's capable of doing when unleashed. He's one of the most athletic players in the league and is showcasing his diverse skillset in the second half of the season so far. Minnesota is rolling out Naz Reid and Juan Hernangomez in their frontcourt, so I expect Gordon and teammate Nikola Vucevic to have their way on the interior tonight.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Rudy Gobert - C, UTA vs. WAS ($7,600)

While both Deandre Ayton and Nikola Vucevic are likely safer plays at 9k, I can't help but be drawn to this incredibly low price on Gobert. He's been very mediocre lately, but this matchup is one of the best in the NBA tonight as the Wizards play at a torrid pace and play some of the worst defense, too. Gobert could feast on the Wizards frontcourt tonight and is still one of the best shot-blockers in the NBA who could pile up the blocks against the undersized and inexperienced Wizards big men.
