FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/8/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back everyone. Hope your week is off to a good start and you didn't use Joe Ross yesterday. As for today, we have plenty of intrigue on tap, including a David Price-Madison Bumgarner duel and Jameson Taillon making his debut versus Noah Syndergaard. Games start at 1:05 ET, so keep that mind.

As for Vegas insights, the heavy moneyline favorites tonight are the Dodgers (-190), Cubs (-175), and the Cardinals (-170). The contests with the highest over/unders are the Angels-Yankees (9.5), Blue Jays-Tigers (9) and Athletics-Brewers (9).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/8/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Cubs versus Vince Velasquez

At first glance this doesn't seem right. Didn't Velasquez have a 16-strikeout game this year? He did, but since that three-hit shutout versus San Diego on April 19th, he hasn't completed six innings in any starts. The matchups haven't been easy (DET, CHC, MIL) but he gets the Cubs again today. The Cubs .759 OPS versus RHP is 8th best in baseball. Cubs rebound from last night's rare loss.

Cardinals versus Alfredo Simon

You don't need to be told to stack Alfredo Simon, but here's your reminder. He has a 8.94 ERA this season and the Cardinals have a .811 OPS versus RHP, 2nd overall. The Cards are a heavy favorite with an over/under of nine. The only downside here is they will be a popular stack, so choose wisely.

Also Consider: Tigers versus R.A. Dickey

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Noah Syndergaard (SP, NYM) - $10,600

Don't be scared by the rookie. Thor has two poor outings sandwiched in between three starts with at least 54 FanDuel points. Pittsburgh is a stout offense, but I expect Thor to rise to the occasion.

Drew Pomeranz (SP, SD) - $9,700

Betting against the Braves is always a good idea, and especially versus lefties. Their putrid .296 slugging vs LHP is the worst in baseball by far. Look for Pomeranz to carve them up.

Archie Bradley (SP, ARI) - $6,600

Here's a former top prospect people forgot about. Bradley has been great the past two starts (13.1 IP, 19/4 K/BB)  and the Rays struggle vs RHP; their .231 average is tied for 27th in baseball.

Also Consider: John Lackey (SP, CHC) - $10,000 ; Jaime Garcia (SP, STL) - $8,100

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C)

Wilson Ramos (C, WAS) - $3,500

Ramos has been the No. 2 catcher in fantasy behind only Jonathan Lucroy to this point, and I expect it to continue. Opponent James Shields is prone to the long ball and I look for Ramos to keep his hitting streak alive tonight.

First Base (1B)

Anthony Rizzo (1B, CHC) - $4,300

Yes, he is the most expensive first baseman, but it is because of that I like the pick. Ownership will be low (plus the Velasquez matchup will scare some off) but Rizzo crushes RHP (.977 OPS).

Also Consider: Eric Hosmer (1B, KC) - $3,400

Second Base (2B)

Jurickson Profar (2B, TEX) - $3,100

Now I can see why the Rangers wanted to move Ian Kinsler. Profar has been a catalyst for the Rangers since entering the lineup (.367 average) and has even pushed Prince Fielder out of playing time. He's a bargain at this price.

Shortstop (SS)

Johnny Peralta (SS, STL) - $2,000

Well this is a robbery. Peralta rejoined the Cardinals lineup this week but FanDuel has him at bargain bin pricing. He went 2-for-4 last night with two RBI and will be in all my lineups versus Alfredo Simon.

Third Base (3B)

Jake Lamb (3B, ARI) - $3,000

Lamb has been a constant source of power at the hot corner for Arizona and loves to face RHP (.299/.366/.567). An excellent tourney play at $3K.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Adam Duvall (OF, CIN) - $3,400

Does he ever stop hitting? He has four home runs in the month of June and is still under $3.5K on FanDuel. Don't be too frightened by the LH/LH matchup; he's slugging .571 versus them.

Matt Holliday (OF, STL) - $3,200

See: Alfredo Simon. Holliday also has been better on the road (.988 OPS) versus at home (.671 OPS).

Nomar Mazara (OF, TEX) - $3,200

There's plenty of moving parts in Texas right now but Maraza has cemented his spot in the lineup. He has a .320/.379/.566 split versus RHP in 2016.

Also Consider: Chris Young (OF, BOS) - $3,200 and David Peralta (OF, ARI) - $2,700
