ANALYSIS: San Diego Padres third baseman Eguy Rosario was recalled from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move that sent outfielder Jose Azocar back to the minor leagues. Rosario logged 28 games in the majors this season and posted a solid .250 AVG. From April 20 to April 27, Rosario held a strong .313/.353/.563 slash line but was eventually sent down on May 5.

Through 36 games in Triple-A this season, Rosario performed quite well with a .289/.400/.622 line and 10 long balls, 35 RBI, five swiped bags, and a 22:34 BB:K ratio. Rosario began to showcase his power with six long balls in June and was rewarded for it by rejoining the major league roster.
Rosario is worth keeping an eye on in NL-only formats but may have trouble earning consistent playing time in a crowded San Diego infield.
