DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (10/30/23): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Scottie Barnes - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, NBA Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 10/30/23. Mike Barner provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The NBA brings plenty of action to the table Monday with 11 games on the schedule. There are some appealing matchups among them, including the Bucks hosting the Heat. The Lakers, Nuggets, Warriors and Celtics are also set to be in action.

We’ve seen a few teams take a cautious approach with their top players during back-to-back sets already this season. Monday brings the second game of a back-to-back set for the Nuggets, Thunder, Warriors, Hawks, Bucks, Trail Blazers and Lakers. Don’t be surprised if we see at least a couple of notable fantasy options rested.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 10/30/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before the lineup locks at 7:00 pm EST. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Tyrese Haliburton, IND vs. CHI – PG/SG ($9,400 DK; $9,600 FD)

Haliburton has started off the season with back-to-back double-doubles. He narrowly missed a triple-double in his last game, posting 21 points, eight rebounds, and 13 assists against the Cavaliers. In three games versus the Bulls last season, he averaged 20.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists. The Bulls return largely the same roster, so expect Haliburton to carry a high floor into this matchup.

Cam Thomas, BKN at CHA – PG/SG ($6,000 DK; $7,800 FD)

The Nets will be shorthanded again with Cameron Johnson (calf) and Nic Claxton (ankle) set to miss their second straight game. Thomas started with them out Friday against the Mavericks, producing 30 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and one block across 33 minutes. The combination of his scoring prowess and the potential for him to play at least 30 minutes again makes him an extremely appealing option, especially at his salary on DraftKings.

Alec Burks, DET at OKC – PG/SG/SF ($4,500 DK; $4,600 FD)

The Pistons have a lot of exciting young players on their team. However, their depth is being tested with Bojan Bogdanovic (calf) and Monte Morris (quadriceps) both sidelined. Burks has emerged as an important part of their second unit, playing at least 25 minutes in all three games. That has left him to average 16.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.7 three-pointers. For those looking for a cheap option in tournament play, Burks is worth considering.

ALSO CONSIDER: Desmond Bane, MEM vs. DAL – SG/SF ($8,600 DK; $8,700 FD); Mikal Bridges, BKN at CHA – SG/SF ($7,800 DK, $7,700 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Scottie Barnes, TOR vs. POR – SF/PF/PG ($7,700 DK; $8,500 FD)

Barnes looks primed for a monster season. With Fred VanVleet no longer in town, Barnes should see more shot attempts and opportunities for assists. Through three games, he has averaged 21.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 3.0 blocks and 0.7 steals. His usage rate has jumped up to 24.6 percent, compared to 20.3 percent last season. Don’t expect the rebuilding Trail Blazers to be able to slow him down.

Jalen Johnson, ATL vs. MIN – SF/PF ($5,000 DK; $6,000 FD)

In their third game of the season, the Hawks already made a change to their starting lineup. They sent Saddiq Bey to the bench and moved Johnson into the starting unit. It paid immediate dividends with them dismantling the Bucks on Sunday. In the route, Johnson produced 14 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and one block across 26 minutes. Had the score not been so lopsided, he probably would have played more. After averaging 15.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.0 blocks through three games, Johnson has the potential to provide significant value.

Taurean Prince, LAL vs. ORL – SF/PF ($4,700 DK; $4,400 FD)

Not only did the Lakers play Sunday, but they went to overtime in a loss to the Kings. LeBron James and Anthony Davis played 39 and 42 minutes, respectively. At least one of them could sit out this game for a rest, if not both. That could lead to added shot attempts for Prince, who has scored at least 18 points and hit at least four three-pointers in two of their three games.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jayson Tatum, BOS at WAS – SF/PF ($10,500 DK; $10,700 FD); Austin Reaves, LAL vs. ORL – SF/SG ($6,000 DK; $6,100 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jalen Duren, DET at OKC – C ($7,100; $8,000 FD)

Duren only averaged 25 minutes per game last season with the Pistons spreading out their playing time at power forward and center between him, Isaiah Stewart, Marvin Bagley III, and James Wiseman. New head coach Monty Williams has cleared up that logjam, taking Wiseman out of the rotation and barely playing Bagley. Duren has logged at least 32 minutes in each of his first three games, averaging 18.0 points, 15.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.7 blocks along the way. Don’t expect his role to decline anytime soon.

Mark Williams, CHA vs. BKN – C ($6,100 DK; $6,800 FD)

Williams looked great in the Hornets’ season opener, posting a double-double against the Hawks. He laid an egg in their next game, though, posting two points and three rebounds versus the Pistons. He had five fouls in just 21 minutes, which didn’t help his cause. With the Nets missing their starting center in Claxton, Williams has a favorable opportunity to bounce back with a valuable performance.

Onyeka Okongwu, ATL vs. MIN ($3,800 DK; $4,800 FD)

Clint Capela continues to block Okongwu’s path to significant playing time. The most minutes that Okongwu has played in a game this season is 23, which he logged Sunday against the Bucks. He still provided value, posting 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal against them. The Timberwolves have a big frontcourt and this is the second game of a back-to-back set for the Hawks, so Okongwu could log around 25 minutes again. If he does, he could prove to be a significant bargain.

ALSO CONSIDER: Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. UTA - C ($11,800 DK; $12,100 FD), Kevon Looney, GS at NO - C ($6,200 DK; $6,000 FD)
