DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Picks (Week 4): NFL DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy football lineup picks for DraftKings in Week 4. Ben Rolfe's NFL DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Now is the time to start really cashing in on DFS games. Three weeks is enough of a sample size for us to have a feel about offenses and defenses alike. We know which teams can be attacked which way and which players are likely to be doing the attacking. There are a number of defenses who are capable of giving up big points totals to opposing players and some offenses who are more than capable of putting up big points. Below are my DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Week 4.

These DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, early week performances, overall upside/talent levels, opportunity, and other factors such as Vegas odds, home field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great value plays available, so read on to find out which players are the best for Week 4.

Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups!

DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks - Week 4 Picks

Andy Dalton - CIN @ ATL (DK $5,400)

This pick is a pick against the Atlanta Falcons defense as much as it is a pick for Andy Dalton. The Falcons defense is in tatters with both starting safeties now on the shelf. The additional loss of Ricardo Allen to an already depleted defense should mean this defense still struggles even if they have learned to tackle this week. The Bengals are aware that this is likely to be a shootout. Their own defense does not have enough talent to keep all of the Falcons weapons quiet. Therefore, they will need to spread the ball around and get all of their own weapons involved if they want a shot of winning this game. I expect Dalton to throw the ball a lot this week and a 30-point fantasy performance is a very real possibility.

Matt Ryan - ATL vs. CIN (DK $6,100)

Until Ryan has a disaster game he is going to be here most weeks. The Falcons are going to have to look to run the ball and control the clock at some point this season. That is the only way to protect that defense from being on the field. However, Ryan is still going to be spreading the ball all over the field and he has the weapons to put up monster numbers for the third week running. Trying to predict which of Ryan's guys has a monster day is tough but you can feel fairly certain at least one of them will. A lot of the Falcons games are going to be shootouts this year and Ryan is going to have the chance to earn every penny of the first year of his new contract.

DraftKings DFS Running Backs - Week 4 Picks

Jordan Howard - CHI vs. TB (DK $6,800)

This is a massive risk given the fact the Bears are playing the high flying Tampa Bay offense this week. If Tampa comes flying out of the gate the Bears could be in major catchup mode all game. In that case, then Howard's touches could be questionable. However, the Bears were playing catchup all of Week 3 and Howard saw a season-high 24 rushing attempts. The Bears do not feel certain in Mitchell Trubisky yet and therefore will need to lean on their running game to control the clock. Howard could easily see at least 20 rushes in this game and I expect him to have a good shot of finding the end zone.

Giovani Bernard - CIN @ ATL (DK $6,300)

Alvin Kamara had a monster week against the Falcons in Week 3. He only totaled 66 yards on the ground but added 124 yards on 15 receptions in the passing game. Bernard does not see quite the same usage in the passing game as Kamara but he should still be able to have a really productive day both on the ground and through the air. Bernard will likely once again be the only show in town for the Bengals in this matchup, having put up 61 yards rushing and 25 yards on five receptions. I expect Bernard to be in the region of 100 combined yards and add a touchdown in this game.

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers - Week 4 Picks

Tyler Boyd - CIN @ ATL (DK $4,600)

Boyd has now had two impressive weeks in a row with six receptions and a touchdown in each game. This week he goes up against the Atlanta Falcons who are fresh off giving up over 40 points to the New Orleans Saints. Considering the lack of offense the Eagles managed to put up against the Falcons in Week 1 it is telling that they now nearly rank inside the top-10 against wide receivers this season. The last two weeks have been ugly for the Falcons and the loss of their second starting caliber safety should mean there are holes all over this defense. If A.J. Green is a full go he is also an interesting pick but chances are he will be somewhat hobbled. However, the Falcons are still likely to slide their defense towards Green which should open up the field for Boyd to have another monster day.

Keenan Allen - LAC vs. SF (DK $8,300)

Allen's sliding points total the last two weeks have been concerning but this a defensive matchup he should be able to exploit. The 49ers best corner is Richard Sherman and he is injured. After that, it is extremely ropey, to say the least. Allen should be able to find pockets all over the field to do damage against a defense that is among the top-10 for worst defenses against wide receivers so far this season.

Albert Wilson - MIA @ NE (DK $3,700)

The Patriots defense has been all over the place this season against the passing game. The Jaguars absolutely destroyed them with quickness at the wide receiver position. I think the Miami Dolphins can do exactly the same this week. Between Kenny Stills, Jakeem Grant and Wilson the Dolphins should be able to pull the Patriots defense all over the place. Many people are expecting a Patriots bounce back but I am expecting another harrowing game for their defense. The great thing about Wilson is that the Dolphins seem to be looking for different ways to get him involved and even with limited touches he can do major damage. There is a chance this is the game Wilson is the receiver who does not do much but at $3,700 I am willing to gamble in GPP that he has a monster day.

DraftKings DFS Tight Ends - Week 4 Picks

O.J. Howard - TB @ CHI (DK $3,500)

I was extremely excited by what I saw from the Howard on Monday night. When the Buccaneers needed a reliable guy to go to in order to get yards Fitzpatrick seemed to look his way. This week the Buccaneers face a really good pass rush in Chicago, meaning Fitzpatrick will need to get the ball out quickly sometimes. When he does, look for Howard to be the guy. The only downside for Howard is that he seemed to be off the field a lot in passing situation in the red zone. That does limit his ceiling but his big-play potential is so huge that he can still give you monster weeks without those snaps in the red zone

Austin Hooper - ATL vs. CIN (DK $2,900)

I am going to stick with Hooper for the time being until I see him perform badly. Ye,s he is proving to be extremely touchdown dependent but in the first two game,s the red zone targets were there. The Falcons defense is so bad that they are going to have to keep going for it for all four quarters. That should mean there are plenty of targets to spread around. In addition, the young tight end boasts an 84% catch rate, which will mean he has the trust of his quarterback. In GPP, you need low-priced players who can be potential difference makers for you and Hooper has that ability. This week I would try to find a way to get the slightly more expensive Howard in your lineup but if you are on a budget this is the tight end with the most boom potential.

DraftKings DFS Defenses - Week 4 Picks

Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals (DK $3,200)

The Cardinals are starting rookie quarterback Josh Rosen against their divisional rivals. The Seahawks defense is not as good as it once was but it is still solid. They should be able to get after this Cardinals offensive line, which surrendered four sacks and six quarterback hits this past week against the Chicago Bears. Even in a worst case scenario, I struggle to see the Cardinals scoring more than 20 points, meaning the floor on this selection is fairly high. The Seahawks are on the road as well which should mean that they are reasonably low-owned even given the debut of Rosen.
