DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 2/22/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

Oscar Tshiebwe daily college fantasy basketball CFB DFS picks March Madness

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 2/22/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

We have another dozen games going on in our college basketball slates on DraftKings today. Welcome, all of you NBA fans! You're about to see why college is better than the pros when it comes to DFS! The early bird features Providence heading up to Hartford to take on UConn. The real action starts at 7 pm with LSU hosting Vanderbilt. Castleton-less Florida welcomes Tshiebwe and the Wildcats. Syracuse heads into the South Carolina hills to take on Clemson in a battle of the Orange. Virginia climbs Chestnut Hill to take on Boston College.

We have to wait an hour and a half for the next tip when Butler heads to Chicago to take on DePaul. A half-hour later, we end this with five 8 pm tips. We have Bama heading to Columbia to take on the Gamecocks. Iowa heads to Madison to take on the Badgers. North Carolina heads to South Bend to take on the Irish. Wake heads to Raleigh to take on the Pack. Then, we have Tulane heading over to Houston on I-10 to take on the Cougars. This is another good one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/22/23, starting at 6:30 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Bryce Hopkins, Providence ($9,600)

Hopkins is doing everything for the Friars this year. He has scored in double figures in every game since the calendar flipped, posting over 20 in five of those games. One of those was a 27-point outburst against UConn. You add that kind of scoring to the rebound totals that he has put up (8.9 per game since January 1), and you are looking at a floor somewhere in the mid-30s. Hopkins hasn't been under 35 DraftKings points this month. He's in for another big game here.

Umoja Gibson, DePaul ($8,200)

We have seen hot streaks like this from Gibson at times over the past couple of years at Oklahoma. He's on one of his heaters now. Gibson has nailed 15 of 34 triples over the last four games alone! He has at least 17 points in each of those games along with his usually strong peripheral stats. Gibson has at least 25 DraftKings points in each of the last nine games. His 37.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Butler was one of his better games of the season. He might even be able to top that at home tonight.

Riley Kugel, Florida ($5,200)

The freshman has been getting more looks with Colin Castleton out. He has played at least 25 minutes in each of the last eight games, so the minutes were trending upward anyway. Now, the shots are as the Gators look to supplement Castleton's scoring. Kugel has 62 points over the last four games alone. He doesn't do much aside from score, but as long as he is taking double-digit shots per game, he's going to hit value at this price.

Jacobi Wright, South Carolina ($4,000)

Wright has played at least 25 minutes in eight straight games, playing over 30 in six of those. He appears to be ahead of G.G. Jackson in the pecking order for good. He is usually efficient with his shot and a capable distributor. Don't expect a lot from him, but he does have at least 20 DraftKings points in three of the last four games. That's a great return at this price.

Also consider: Jalen Cook, Tulane ($9,600); Jarkel Joiner, North Carolina State ($8,500); Jaylen Forbes, Tulane ($7,800); Jayden Taylor, Butler ($7,300); Mark Sears, Alabama ($6,800); Kyle Lofton, Florida ($5,800); Noah Locke, Providence ($5,300); Ali Ali, Butler ($5,100); Ahron Ulis, Iowa ($4,400); Trey Thomas, Vanderbilt ($4,100)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky ($9,500)

Tshiebwe struggled against Florida in the first meeting, hitting just two shots the entire game. So why use him here? Castleton is out. Florida doesn't have anyone that can contain Tshiebwe this time around. This is a great matchup for Bacot as well against a team that he dominated the first time around, but Tshiebwe is $1k cheaper and going against a Florida team that really lacks size right now. I would go with Bacot in cash and Oscar in GPP. Savvy bargain hunters will try to use both in GPP formats. I will do that at least once. You can't go wrong with either one tonight.

Liam Robbins, Vanderbilt ($9,000)

The 'Dores sure missed their big man. He is on fire right now, having scored 80 points in the last three games alone. He is getting to the line at an alarming rate, taking a ton of shots, and hitting a shade under half of them. Robbins has averaged 23 points per game in the six games since his return from an ankle injury with a shade over 10 rebounds per game. He is averaging a double-double and going against an LSU team that has serious issues in the post. The forward position is loaded again tonight.

Nick Ongenda, DePaul ($6,400)

Ongenda didn't make his debut until last week thanks to a wrist injury, but he has packed the stat sheet in his two games this season. That's the good news. The bad news is that he has fouled out of both contests while playing just 48 minutes. Still, he has a staggering 12 blocks in those games, giving the Blue Demons rim protection that they desperately need. He has crashed the glass and even chipped in a couple of steals and assists. He was horrible from the field against Xavier, but chalk that up to the opponent. He has a massive ceiling against Butler tonight, regardless of the status of Yor Anei.

Aleks Szymczyk, Florida ($4,000)

It has been an open audition in the middle of the conference season for the Gators to replace Castleton with Alex Fudge and Jason Jitoboh turning in uninspiring performances. Szymczyk got his chance on Saturday and put up 27 DraftKings points in just 20 minutes against Arkansas. This is not going to be an easy matchup for the Gators, but the freshman has at least earned the chance to grapple with Tshibwe and see if the Gators can get any leverage. I'll take a shot with him in a GPP considering Florida is striking out trying to replace Castleton thus far.

Also consider: Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($10,500); Kevin Cross, Tulane ($9,100); Steven Crowl, Wisconsin ($8,100); Ed Croswell, Providence ($7,500); Jaemyn Brakefield, Mississippi ($7,200); Hayden Brown, South Carolina ($6,800); Chris Livingston, Kentucky ($5,900); Bobi Klintman, Wake Forest ($5,000); Matthew Marsh, Wake Forest ($3,800)
