BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf had high expectations this year after having an excellent season in 2022. Unfortunately, the former Ole Miss star hasn’t lived up to those expectations. Metcalf is the WR37 for the year, averaging 10.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 35 receptions on 62 targets for 552 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately, the veteran wide receiver is in the middle of a cold stretch. Metcalf scored double-digit fantasy points in the first four games this season. However, he has scored fewer than 9.3 fantasy points in three of the past four contests. Yet, the star receiver had an impressive performance last week.
Metcalf had seven receptions on 12 targets for 98 receiving yards and 13.3 fantasy points against the Washington Commanders in Week 10. However, the Commanders have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. Unfortunately, Metcalf’s matchup this week isn’t as fantasy-friendly.
The Seahawks face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The Rams have held wide receivers to 25.1 fantasy points per game, the 11th-fewest in the league. Furthermore, Metcalf had only three receptions for 47 receiving yards in the Week 1 matchup against Los Angeles.
