Welcome back to the DFS Patrol. I'll be subbing in for Max Petrie today to bring you the top starting pitcher streamers for daily fantasy baseball (DFS) and for seasonal leagues for 4/21/16. These streamers will range from high-priced / high-ownership options to low-priced / low-ownership options, and will be sleepers and value picks for your cash games and GPPs on DraftKings and FanDuel, and also for seasonal leagues with daily lineups.

There are actually more games in the early slate (seven) than there are starting at 7 PM EST or later (five), meaning a lot of the best options will require playing full-day or early-only contests.

Daily Pitcher Matchup Ratings Tool Top Plays

Jake Arrieta (CHC) @ CIN

FanDuel - $12,100 / Draftkings - $11,100

The reigning NL Cy Young has picked up right where he left off, and gets a tasty matchup against the middling Cincinnati offense. I don't see anything not to like here, and Arrieta should be a gimme play in almost any format.

Johnny Cueto (SF) vs. ARI

FanDuel - $9,900 / Draftkings - $10,100

With so many aces on the mound with great matchups, Cueto should see fairly low ownership percentage. He's gone at least seven innings and picked up the win in each of his first three starts, and I like his chances to make it 4-for-4 tonight.

Bill’s Value Plays of the Day

Rich Hill (OAK) @ NYY

FanDuel - $6,700 / Draftkings - $7,000

Hill hasn't been great this year, but that's mostly due to the fact that he hasn't made it past the sixth inning yet--and he didn't even make it through five in two starts. The Yankees have struggled severely on offense in the last week, and Hill should be able to hold them at bay yet again.

Jake Odorizzi (TB) @ BOS

FanDuel - $7,700 / DraftKings - $7,400

Odorizzi was lights-out in his last start against the White Sox, hurling seven innings of shut-out ball while mixing in six strikeouts. While Boston has been swinging the bat well of late, if the lefty can keep the ball in the yard he should provide solid value.

Starting Pitchers to Fade in Daily Fantasy Baseball

Luis Severino (NYY) vs. OAK

FanDuel - $8,500 / DraftKings - $7,400

Severino hasn't had his best stuff so far in 2016, as he's been slapped around for 18 hits in just 10.2 innings. He's only walked one batter, which is nice to see from an electric arm like his, but he's also only tallied seven strikeouts. I'm fading until we see the Severino of 2015--especially given who else is on the slate today.

Edinson Volquez (KC) vs. DET

FanDuel - $7,900 / DraftKings - $7,700

Volquez has been surprisingly solid through three starts, but this fade is all about potential. He hasn't made it past six innings yet in a start, and I don't like his chances against the ever-dangerous Tigers lineup.
