DFS Captain Considerations

oSee has been an extremely solid player for Cloud9 as he has led them in K/D ratio since the start of 2020. He has a 1.14 K/D ratio over the last four months and this has been against some of the best competition in the Flashpoint League. OSee is averaging 59.7 DK points per game and has eclipsed the 60 point DK mark in six out of his last 11 games. With his team as such large favorites on this slate, it is hard to not consider their best player in the captain role.

Cooper- is the best value when it comes to the captain position. DK has him underpriced for his upside and DK point average so this is the biggest steal of the entire slate. Cooper-  comes into this match carrying a 1.22 K/D ratio over the last four months while averaging 54.4 DK points per game. He has shown upside ability by hitting 60+ points in two out of his last four games so he is a strong play overall on this slate.

Dapr is one of the top talents on this slate and is the best player on the Bad News Bears squad. He is quite pricey so he could be a good GPP tournament candidate based on the pricing and how it could lower his ownership. Dapr has a 1.18 K/D ratio since the start of 2020 and carries a solid 42.8% headshot percentage. His team is in a very solid position to win and he is someone to look at for the captain role, especially with the upside that he carries. He’s averaging 57.7 DK points per game and has 70 point upside as he has shown in prior games.

Grim could easily go overlooked on this slate but his recent form is what really piqued my interest in him. Over the last 61 maps played, he has a 1.29 K/D ratio and has a 51.9% headshot percentage. Over the last year, he has carried a 1.13 K/D ratio and a 49% headshot percentage so he has really been playing well and in good form. With his team most likely being the underdogs in this contest, he could be a great captain pick that goes low owned and for a reasonable price tag of just $7,800.

DFS Value Plays

Marke is on the higher end of the value spectrum as he carries a 1.08 K/D ratio over the last four months. He is right at 7k on DK and has shown massive upside ability with an 80 point performance against Furia. He owns a 55% headshot percentage over the last four months which is one of the higher headshot percentages on the slate. Marke is a good tournament option and good pairing if you’re looking to stack Swole Patrol.

JT isn’t the most exciting play but he is the cheapest option on the best team on the slate. He’s only $5,800 and averages 36.5 DK points per game which isn’t amazing but provides a solid floor if you were looking to punt. The one scary thing about JT is that he has a .81 K/D ratio over the last four months so it is a tad risky if you roll him out since he can rack up deaths quickly!

Ptr is only $6,400 but gets you cheap exposure to part of the Bad News Bears squad. He has accumulated a K/D ratio of 1.19 over the last 37 maps which screams value on this slate for the price that he is at! He’s averaging 40.1 DK points per game but has shown 60 point upside in the past so consider him in all formats.

Top DFS Stacks

C9 is the top stack on the slate and it will be tough to not squeeze at least two of their players into your lineup. Four out of five of their guys have above a 1 K/D ratio mark and they have been playing some tough competition as of late so their matchup against the New England Whalers should seem easy compared to the likes of the rest of the Flashpoint League.

Cloud9 is carrying a 1.02 K/D ratio over the last four months but the lower ratio could be due to the competition that they just played all last month. Cloud9 is ranked #28 in the world while the New England Whalers are ranked #97 overall.

The Whalers will be utilizing stand-in players which does not bode well for them since the overall chemistry and strategy will be affected. As a team, they are only carrying a .90 K/D ratio so Cloud9 should handle this squad pretty easily.

OSee, Floppy, and motm are the top three candidates for a Cloud9 stack. They all carry massive upside and it’s hard to not want to throw all 3 into a lineup together but unfortunately, pricing is tighter on them so picking two of them will help your salary situation. JT is the best value play on the team but with the lack of upside, it is tough to really want to plug him in.

Swole Patrol is the second best stack on this late due to their matchup. SP is ranked #29 in the world while the Monstars are ranked #85 so the edge clearly goes to Swole Patrol. The Monstars core lineup has only played three maps together in the last 30 days and will have a stand-in player as well so this only favors Swole Patrol more. SP has a team K/D ratio of 1.07 while the Monstars are carrying a .95 K/D ratio throughout 2020.

Cooper- is the first guy to plug in for a Swole Patrol stack. Zellsis has been playing well, having a 1.12 K/D ratio over the last four months so he definitely warrants consideration on this slate and makes a nice two-man combo with Cooper-. Marke rounds out the group with his cheaper price tag if you were looking at trying to do a three-man stack from SP.

Bad News Bears could go a tad overlooked as a team on this four-game slate. As a team, they are carrying a 1.23 K/D ratio since the start of 2020 and have four players that all have above a 1.10 K/D ratio during that time frame. They are the higher-ranked team as they are ranked #31 in the world while Triumph is ranked #44 overall. Both teams have won four straight games heading into this matchup so this should be a good competitive game with BNB coming out on top.

Dapr is the guy to start with your BNB stacks. He is a fantastic play in general and has a 1.75 K/D ratio over the last four matches with this squad. Ptr provides great value for his price and is one of the better overall values on this slate so he makes for a great stack piece. Mitch and Jonji are also in play as they both carry above a 1.10 K/D ratio over the last four months and are moderately priced on this slate as well.
