Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (5/1/20) - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy

Jorge Pucks' DraftKings. FanDuel DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 5/1/20. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for ESports DFS contests.

Welcome back RotoBallers to another edition of my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. I have to admit, I am having a ton of fun playing and covering eSports DFS at RotoBaller! As always, I will do my best to give you the stats and info you need to build the best lineups possible.

We have a six-game slate that is a part of the ESL One: Road to Rio qualifier. This has been an awesome tournament so far and has provided us with a steady stream of solid 5-6 match slates. We have a number of really good teams in action today and some really closely projected matches which should make for an awesome GPP slate.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel for Friday, May 1st, 2020 at 12:30 PM. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @rdr1634 as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

Road to Rio (Best of 3)

  • Dignitas (+135) vs. ENCE (-190)
  • Mousesports (EVEN) vs. FaZe (-135)
  • C0ntact (+180) vs. GODSENT (-260)
  • Liquid (-225) vs. Furia (+155)
  • Yeah (+230) vs. Bad News Bears (-335)
  • MIBR (-190) vs. Envy (+140)

CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations

Kscerato is just $7,200 on DraftKings which is an absolute steal. He is one of the higher-priced players on FD so it will be tough to squeeze him in over there. Kscerato averages 68.3 DraftKings points per game and is carrying a 1.38 K./D ratio over the last three months.

Over the same timeframe, he has a .76 kill per round rate while only having a .55 death per round rate. In his career against Liquid, Kscerato has a 1.26 K/D ratio over the course of 5 maps. He is viable in both cash and GPP tournaments and is my favorite play on the slate

Dapr is the main target to look at from the Bad News Bears squad. He is $11,200 on FD while being $10,200 on DraftKings. He is averaging 58.9 DraftKings points per game while only averaging 53.07 points per game on FD.

Since the start of 2020, he has accumulated a K/D ratio of 1.15 while carrying a .77 kill per round rate over that span of time. With his price being so high on DraftKings, he could end up being low owned which makes him a viable tournament play on tomorrow’s slate.

STYKO is dirt cheap on FD at $9,000 while he is $8,800 over on DraftKings. Over the last month, he has produced a K/D ratio of 1.10 which leads GODSENT. He carries a .72 kill per round rate while having a death per round rate of .66.

He is carrying a very high headshot percentage of 57.3% which could work out well on FD due to points for headshots. I can see STYKO get overlooked a bit with all of the other matchups on the slate so he could be a solid tournament selection.

Other captain plays: zehN, HEN1, kNgV-

CS:GO DFS Value Plays

Yuurih is $6,600 on DraftKings and this is way too cheap for someone who is averaging 59.6 points per game. He is high priced on FD at $11,200 so he is a much better value play on DraftKings. Over the last month, he has a 1.15 K/D ratio and has a .74 kill per round ratio while only having a .64 death per round ratio.

Hen1 is in the same boat as Yuurih as he is way underpriced on DraftKings in this matchup against Liquid. He is $6,800 on DraftKings and averages 65.3 points per game. In the most recent game against Liquid, he put up 82.5 DraftKings points while having 47 kills and 25 total assists. I think he is one of the best overall plays on the slate when comparing upside and price so he is viable in all formats.

Coldzera looks to be a solid value on this slate in a game that looks to be pretty competitive. He is $6,200 which is a great value on DraftKings and is higher priced on FD at $10,700.Over the last three months, Coldzera has had a 1.15 K/D ratio while having a .69 kill per round rate and a .61 death per round rate. He has a career K/D ratio of 1.24 against Mousesports and this is over a 36 map stretch.

Other value plays: mitch, moose, zehN (FD value)

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks

Bad News Bears draws the best matchup on the slate against Yeah who comes ranked into this matchup as the #60 team in the world while BNB is ranked #31. Both squads have lost three straight games in the Road to Rio qualifier and are tied for last in Stage B of the Road to Rio North American Qualifier.

Yeah comes in with a -52 round differential which is the largest differential in the RTR NA bracket. This is a matchup that BNB should win since they are just the better overall team. Since the beginning of 2020, BNB has carried a team K/D ratio of 1.12 while Yeah has carried a team K/D ratio of 1.02.

Dapr carries a 1.20 K/D ratio over the last three months and is the top player from this squad. Pairing him with ptr and mitch would be the options that I would suggest looking at if stacking BNB.

GODSENT is one of the larger favorites on the slate and they look to be in a good spot against c0ntact. From a pricing standpoint, they are moderately priced on DraftKings while they are extremely underpriced on FD!

They are a big-time value over there so look to get exposure to them for salary relief. GODSENT is 2-1-0 while c0ntact is 0-3 in Group B play on the Road to Rio Europe qualifier. In nine maps played, c0ntact has a .85 K/D ratio and has a -116 K/D ratio while GODSENT has a .98 K/D ratio in eight maps played.

STYKO and zehN are the two strongest GODSENT players as of right now. Both of them have carried an above 1.10 K/D ratio over the last month while also having a 1.10+ rating over that span as well. Maden is a viable third option to include in GODSENT stacks.

Furia is severely underpriced on DraftKings which means this is the perfect spot to take advantage of the low pricing. FD has them priced up so it will be tougher to do a full three-man stack over there.

People might overlook Furia since Liquid is a very good team but Furia took two out of three maps against Liquid earlier this year and they posted some big scores against them. When looking to stack Furia, the first guy to plug in is Kscerato who I listed above.

He is their best player and has a really good K/D ratio against Liquid. Since Hen1 and yuurih are both under-priced as well, they form a really good trio to use on this slate tomorrow.

Other stacks/ teams: MIBR
