Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (4/23/20) - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy

Jorge Pucks' DraftKings, FanDuel DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 4/23/20. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for ESports DFS contests.

Welcome back RotoBallers to another edition of my Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. I have to admit, I am having a ton of fun playing and covering eSports DFS at RotoBaller! As always, I will do my best to give you the stats and info you need to build the best lineups possible.

We have another solid six-game slate that is apart of the ESL One: Road to Rio - Europe qualifier. We continue to see DraftKings hunt down some different leagues in an attempt to keep posting CS:GO slates every day. Some of these teams will be familiar to you from earlier slates this month, while others still may not be yet.

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on both DraftKings and FanDuel for Thursday, April 23rd, 2020 at 12:30 PM. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @rdr1634 as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

ESL One: Road to Rio - Europe (Best Of 3 Format)

  • Godsent +250 vs. G2 -335
  • Red Canids -170 vs. Isurus +130
  • Boom -225 vs. Imperial +175
  • Liquid -1200 vs. Bad News Bears +650
  • Furia -450 vs. ENVY +130
  • Yeah +450 vs. MIBR -650

CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations

huNter will be a popular play for the captain and MVP spot but is one of the best overall plays on the slate so it’s hard to not look his way. He has a 1.20 K/D ratio since the beginning of 2020 and has a .78 kill per round rate during that same time span. He has a high headshot percentage of 54.4% over that same time span. He carries a high price tag on both sites so figuring out roster construction around him will be very important.

Iatto is a dominant player for Red Canids and the spot against Isurus really stands out. He is in the upper tier of pricing on both sites but is a good play nonetheless. He has a 1.27 K/D ratio over the last four months while accumulating a.77 kill per round rate. Over the last four months, he has played Isurus on seven maps and has racked up a 1.26 K/D ratio against them.

eLiGe is the highest-priced player on both sites and it’s difficult to not consider him, especially in cash game lineups. He is averaging 84.6 Dk points per game while averaging 107 FD points per game so he is proving why his price tag is so high. He has a K/D ratio of 1.16 over the last four months and he is doing this against top tier talent so he is one of the safer overall plays on the slate.

Other notable captain plays: kennyS, felps, NAF

CS:GO DFS Value Plays

Yel is coming off of a great performance against Red Canids as he led Boom with a +12 K/D differential while totaling 65 total kills. He has a 1.10 K/D ratio over the last four months and his price tag of $6,400 makes him a steal from a value perspective. He could also be considered for the captain role in order to free up salary for your roster construction.

Fnx is on the cheaper end of pricing of DK ($6,200) while on FD, he is a tad closer to the middle-tier of pricing ($9,600). He is carrying a 1.07 K/D ratio since the start of 2020 and has a career 1.05 K/D ratio against Isurus which is solid when looking for a cheap value play. He makes a great one-off from Red Canids and even fits in nicely if looking to stack them on this slate.

Shz is cheap on both sites and set up as a nice value play for both cash and tournament lineups. He is still mispriced especially for a guy who has a 1.15 K/D ratio over the last four months. He has faced Imperial on three maps over the last four months and has totaled a 1.09 K/D ratio. He is one of the better overall value plays on the slate but might be higher owned due to his lower price.

Other notable value options: SHOOWTiME, jaCkz

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks

MIBR is the big-time favorite in this matchup so it seems like they will be one of the safer picks on this slate. MIBR is ranked #15 in the world while Yeah is ranked #52 overall so this shows the talent gap between the two squads.

Yeah has had a team K/D ratio of 1.07 for over the last four months while MIBR has a team K/D ratio of 1.02 but when comparing the competition that they have played during that stretch, it is easy to see that MIBR has had to face some of the top teams in the world which have kept their K/D ratio on the lower end of the spectrum.

MIBR has three really good players that are extremely viable from a DFS perspective. FalleN leads the charge with a 1.13 K/D ratio since the start of 2020 while fer has had a 1.10 K/D ratio. KnGv- also sports a 1.07 K/D ratio during that stretch and they all carry an above 1+ rating so far this year. They would all be viable in both cash and tournament stacks as they should be able to handle Yeah in this matchup.

G2 is the #5 ranked team in the world heading into this tournament. They are winners of three out of their last five matches and are carrying a team K/ D ratio of 1.11 since the start of 2020. Godsent is a strong team as they come in ranked as the #18 squad in the world. They are winners of their last five matches but their competition has not been as challenging as the likes of what G2 has recently faced.

G2 has two really strong players that you must consider when looking to stack them. huNter- is listed in the captain section and he should always be in play when stacking G2. KennyS is a great partner to pair with him as kennyS carries a 1.25 K/D ratio over the last four months and averages .73 kills per round while limiting himself to .58 death per round.

Liquid is ranked #6 in the world and is coming into this tournament as winners of four of their last five games. They take on a scrappy Bad News Bears squad who is ranked #31 in the world and are also winners of four of their last five matches. Team Liquid has a team K/D ratio of 1.03 which is relatively low but when factoring in the competition level that they play at, it is a very respectful K/D rate.

Liquid is led by eLiGe who is one of the more dominant individual players in the tournament. He must always be included in a Liquid stack as he tends to lead this team in kills and K/D rate.

NAF is the second piece that you would want from this team as he has generated a 1.12 K/D ratio over the last four months and has the second-highest rating on this Liquid squad. With the high price point of all of their players, it might be best to look elsewhere for a value piece for your lineups.

Other notable stacks: Red Canids, Boom
