Suns forward Cameron Johnson is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 16 of the NBA season.

ANALYSIS: The Suns relied heavily on Cameron Johnson for a stretch earlier this season. It happened back in mid-to-late January when Cam started nine consecutive games averaging a massive 31 MPG for Phoenix. That ended there and Johnson has been back riding the pine since Feb. 5 to last Thursday when he played in Phoenix last game to this date against the Clips.
Cam Johnson didn't play any game from Mar. 2 to Mar. 21, but since the latter date he's been on the court 11 times while averaging 21 MPG and 15+ FPG. Nothing mindblowing, but nothing too bad for those managing in super deep leagues this season. Johnson has his upside mostly coming from the points/threes categories, although he knows how to steal a rock and his rebounding isn't bad.
Johnson's shooting percentage is up to 49% from the floor on 6+ FGA in the last six games and has scored 6+ points in each of those matches with 11+ points in three of them. Also in the same span, Cam has hit at least 2 treys in each of those games, with three of them reaching 3 3PM. Forget the idea of been adding a league-winning player in Cam, but if you need points/treys/FG%, and even low TOs in 9-cat leagues, you can do much worse than getting shares of Johnson.
