ANALYSIS: Baltimore Orioles starting pitching prospect Cade Povich has looked quite strong at Triple-A this season and should be expected to make his major league debut in the coming months. Across 56 ⅔ innings with Triple-A Norfolk this season, the southpaw has posted a 3.18 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 21:75 BB:K ratio.

Povich made his Triple-A debut last season and logged 45 ⅓ innings to the tune of a much worse 5.36 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 29:53 BB:K ratio. It is a great sign that the 24-year-old has taken such a significant step forward this season against the top level in the minor leagues.
The Nebraska product could be joining Baltimore sooner rather than later, as they just lost Tyler Wells (elbow) and John Means (forearm) to season-ending injuries. Povich has entered must-stash territory and is worth adding in all leagues.
