Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

5043 articles

You won't find a bigger Cubs fan than myself. Aside from my love of fantasy sports, which includes MLB, NFL and NBA, I own my own animal care business. I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago and currently reside in Chicago, IL. My love of fantasy sports started for me in the early 2000's and I have steadily been active with the same group of friends year in and year out for every league in baseball, basketball and football. I am hoping to help all RotoBaller members with any questions they may have. I consider myself an expert with minor league prospects, as it is a love of mine. I hope to give the best advice I can to the RotoBaller world!

Kyle Hendricks Shines In No-Decision

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks picked up a tough no-decision on Wednesday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Hendricks went six innings and allowed just four hits, zero runs, one walk and struck out six on the evening. Hendricks did his part on Wednesday, but the Cubs offense continued to struggle and let him down. It […]

White Sox Resting Andrew Vaughn On Wednesday

Chicago White Sox left fielder Andrew Vaughn will rest on Wednesday versus the Seattle Mariners. Vaughn has started four of the White Sox first six games, but is just 1-for-11 with two runs scored and a RBI. Vaughn is one of the top power hitting prospects in the game and also is a very good […]

Hot-Hitting Yermin Mercedes Gets Day Off

Chicago White Sox catcher/designated hitter Yermin Mercedes will receive a day off on Wednesday versus the Seattle Mariners. Mercedes has been one of the early surprises in the fantasy community and started the season 8-for-8. Mercedes overall is hitting an insane .542 with one home run and six RBI to go along with just three […]

Yoan Moncada Absent From Wednesday’s Lineup

Chicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada will rest on Wednesday versus the Seattle Mariners. Moncada has been off to a slow start in 2021 and is just 4-for-22 with 12 strikeouts on the season. Plate discipline has always been a weakness for the former top prospect and hopefully Wednesday's day off will help him […]

Tim Anderson Sent To Injured List

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (hamstring) has been placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to April 5. Anderson left Sunday's contest after the first inning when he strained his left hamstring running to first base. Jose Abreu Drives In Five

Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and five RBI on Tuesday versus the Seattle Mariners. The grand slam would be Abreu's 200th career home run. The reigning American League MVP is now hitting .208 with a pair of home run and nine RBI on the season. Abreu remains […]

Lucas Giolito Whiffs 10 In Victory

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito struck out 10 on Tuesday versus the Seattle Mariners. Giolito also allowed four hits, three runs and one walk on the evening. Trevor Williams Performs Well In Cubs Debut

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Trevor Williams performed well in his Cubs debut on Monday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (hamstring) will remain sidelined on Monday versus the Seattle Mariners. Anderson suffered a left hamstring strain on Sunday and exited the game immediately. The All-Star has been off to a slow start with just three hits in his first 15 at-bats, but has slugged a home run on the […]

Jason Heyward Sitting Versus Lefty On Monday

Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward will rest on Monday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. With left-hander Brett Anderson on the hill, it makes sense to give the veteran outfielder a day off. Heyward is 2-for-11 on the season with a home run, but most of his value comes on defense and managers can feel safe leaving […]

Joc Pederson Gets Monday Off

Chicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson will have his first day off of the season on Monday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Tim Anderson Exits Early

Chicago White Sox shortstop has exited Sunday's game versus the Los Angeles Angels. Anderson hurt himself and was seen hobbling after hitting the first base bag on a ground out.
