Adam Erhardt - RotoBaller

388 articles

My name is Adam Erhardt and I am excited to be part of the RotoBaller family. Like many of our RotoBaller subscribers, my passion for fantasy stemmed from my love of sports growing up, particularly football. Despite my love for the sport, being a lifelong Buffalo Bills and University of Kentucky fan made for some very challenging years growing up. Nevertheless my loyalty remained strong. After seeing that I was as committed to following the sport in week 14 as I was in week 1 (despite the Bills struggles throughout the 2000's), a friend of mine suggested I give fantasy football a try. After looking more into what fantasy was, I decided to give play and immediately became hooked. Playing fantasy football changed my life. While some people hunt, some golf, and some fish, my hobby became fantasy football. As the years passed, and as my love for fantasy grew stronger, I decided to branch out beyond just football. In some situations, like in the case of basketball, this experiment went pretty well for me. In other situations, like in the case of hockey, things went poorly. Regardless of the results, each new sport taught me more and more about this hobby that I love, and made me hungry for more, a hunger that led me to the sport of NASCAR. Although I was not raised on NASCAR, there was something about the sport that always intrigued me. From the fan culture, to the skillset that it takes to driver cars at such a highspeed, I always had a great deal of respect for the sport of NASCAR. Because of this I thought it would be worth giving NASCAR DFS a try. While I figured it would be a fun trial, I did not expect to love it as much as I did. For the first time in my life I found myself watching races intently. The more and more I played, the more and more I started to become a fan of the sport both in the real world and in the fantasy world. In my opinion, there is no fantasy sport that has the gamesmanship and strategery that NASCAR DFS has. While the sport of football will always be my first love, and while I always appreciate the skillset that it takes to be successful at fantasy sport, there is something about fantasy NASCAR that separates it from all others. The love and passion that I have for all things fantasy (and for NASCAR fantasy in particular) is what led me to want to become part of the fantasy industry. As someone who has personally experienced how DFS can change someone's life for the better, I feel it is my turn to give back to the fantasy community in any way possible. This is why I am so grateful and excited to join the award winning NASCAR news team at RotoBaller.com, and why I look forward to working with each of you in this wild and crazy game we all love.

Why Chase Elliott Is A Core Play In DFS This Weekend At North Wilkesboro

Chase Elliott will start 15th in Sunday's All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. After a disappointing 2023, a season in which Elliott was forced to miss significant time due to an injury he sustained snowboarding, the second-generation Cup driver has had quite the bounce back in 2024. Entering this weekend's All-Star Race, Elliott sits fourth […]

Will Kyle Busch’s Recent Struggles On Short Tracks Continue This Weekend At North Wilkesboro?

Kyle Busch will start 14th in Sunday's All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Entering All-Star weekend, Busch has three top-10 finishes over the last five races, which shows that there is some momentum trending his way. However, despite some recent success, don't look for that trend to continue this weekend, as the 39-year-old has struggled […]

Michael McDowell Finishes 10th at Darlington Raceway

On Sunday afternoon Michael McDowell finished with his second top-10 finish in as many weeks as he placed 10th in the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. While earning his fourth top-10 finish of the season is noteworthy, the biggest news story of the week related to the No. 34 had nothing to do with what […]

Chase Briscoe Delivers Value In DFS At Darlington Raceway

Chase Briscoe finished fifth in Sunday's Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, marking his fifth top-10 finish of the season. Heading into the weekend, there was little buzz for the Stewart-Haas star, likely due to the fact that he was averaging 18.16 for his finishing position in his previous six Cup starts at the famed South […]

Brad Keselowski Will Make His First Front Row Start Of 2024 At Darlington Raceway

Brad Keselowski will make his first top-10 start of the season on Sunday when he begins on the front row for the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Keselowski, who currently sits 15th in the NASCAR playoff standings, has really struggled in qualifying this year, averaging 22.5 for his average start in 2024. With this said, […]

Can We Trust Ross Chastain In DFS At Darlington Raceway This Weekend?

On Saturday afternoon, Ross Chastain qualified ninth for Sunday's Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. In nine Cup starts at the track "Too Tough to Tame", Chastain has struggled. While he did finish fifth in the race here last fall, in his three prior starts he finished 29th (spring 2023), 20th (fall 2022), and 30th (fall […]

Chris Buescher Looking To Bounce Back At Darlington

After finishing just short in last week's race at Kansas, Chris Buescher will start third in Sunday's Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. As the driver who now holds the record for the closest runner-up finish in Cup Series history, one who truly believed he won the race when he exited the car last Sunday, you […]

Limit Your Exposure To Alex Bowman This Weekend At Darlington

Alex Bowman will start 18th in the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. In his three Cup starts in the Next Gen car at this track, Bowman has struggled as he has crashed out in two of these starts. Because of these two DNFs, since 2022, the 31-year-old has averaged just 15.22 DraftKings points, the second […]

Noah Gragson Earns Third Top-10 Finish In Three Weeks With Ninth-Place Finish

Noah Gragson, who started third in Sunday's AdventHealth 400, finished in ninth place, marking his first top-10 finish at Kansas in the Cup Series. Despite having a strong weekend from the racing side, in fantasy, he was a disappointment. While a ninth-place finish sounds great, it comes with a consequence when you start the race […]

Alex Bowman Delivers Value In DFS At Kansas

On Sunday evening, Alex Bowman finished seventh in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Heading into the weekend, there was a lot of hype surrounding Bowman as he had averaged 54.17 DraftKings in his three previous starts in the Next Gen car at this track, the third most in the Cup Series. While the 48.90 […]

Daniel Suarez Will Start 27th In Sunday's AdventHealth 400 At Kansas Speedway

Trackhouse Racing superstar Daniel Suarez has qualified 27th for the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Suarez's disappointing qualifying efforts came as no surprise, as the 32-year-old also struggled to find speed during Saturday's practice session. Despite being on the track for 30 laps, which was tied for the fourth most of the day, he was […]

The Case Against Ryan Preece At Kansas Speedway

Ryan Preece has qualified 32nd for Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Besides being priced at $6,400, there is little to like about Ryan Preece heading into this weekend's race. In eight Cup starts at this track, he has no top-10s and has an average overall finish of 24.8. While his 25.73 average DraftKings points […]

Brad Keselowski Is A Core Play In Both DFS And Sports Betting At Kansas Speedway

Fresh off a disappointing trip to Dover last weekend, Brad Keselowski will start 30th in Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Prior to finishing 30th at Dover, Keselowski had finished second in back-to-back races, a testament to how competitive this team has been all season. Heading into this weekend's race at Kansas, there is no […]

Will Daniel Hemric's Recent Success Continue This Weekend At Kansas?

Coming off back-to-back top 10 finishes at Talladega and Dover, Daniel Hemric will look to build off this momentum on Sunday when he starts 33rd in the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. As a driver who failed to crack the top 20 in six straight races this season, his recent success should serve as a […]

The Case For Corey Heim In DFS At Kansas

Truck Series regular Corey Heim will start 20th in Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Heim, who is in his second week of relief duty for the injured Erik Jones, did a respectable job last week at Dover in what was his first-ever Cup start. After starting 32nd, the 21-year-old managed his Legacy Motor Club […]

Is Chase Elliott Undervalued Heading Into This Weekend’s Race At Kansas?

Chase Elliott, who currently sits third in the NASCAR playoff standings, will start ninth in Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. With four top-five finishes in the last five races this season, Elliott enters the race as one of the hottest drivers in the Cup Series. Despite his recent hot streak, and even though he […]

Limit Your Exposure To Chris Buescher In DFS This Weekend

On Saturday afternoon, Chris Buescher qualified 12th for the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. In his 16 Cup starts in The Sunflower State, Buescher has been largely underwhelming as he has just three top-10s and an average overall finish of 18.9. While an average finish in the top-20 is not disastrous, his efforts in the […]

A Tire Issue On Lap 118 Impacts Brad Keselowski's Day At Dover

After finishing second in the last two races, Brad Keselowski fell back to Earth on Sunday as he finished 30th in the Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. Despite only qualifying 24th, Keselowski worked his way up the field early in the race until an incident late in stage one took him out of contention […]

Ryan Blaney Finishes Seventh At Dover

Ryan Blaney finished seventh in Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway, marking his fifth top-10 finish of the season. Overall, it was a solid race for the reigning Cup Series champion as he led 47 laps, recorded 23 fastest laps, and spent 99.5% of the race in the top 15. For his efforts, the […]

Bubba Wallace Qualifies 16th For Sunday's Race At Dover Motor Speedway

On Saturday afternoon, Bubba Wallace qualified 16th for Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. Despite high expectations heading into last week's race at Talladega, the eight-year Cup veteran made contact with Erik Jones on lap 154 of the 188-lap race, ending the day for both drivers. While 2024 has been a strong season for […]

Ryan Preece Underwhelms During Practice At Dover Motor Speedway

Ryan Preece will start 28th in Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. On Saturday, Preece was largely underwhelming as he was only able to produce the 20th fastest time in practice (22.839), a time that ranked ninth among the Fords. What makes this time particularly interesting is that he was only on the track […]

What Should You Do With Jimmie Johnson In DFS This Weekend?

NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson will start 27th in Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. Every week in NASCAR DFS, there seems to be one driver in the field that is particularly difficult to assess, a driver that you can make a strong argument for and an equally strong argument against. This week, […]

Carson Hocevar Is Set To Make His First Cup Start At Dover Motor Speedway On Sunday

When Carson Hocevar starts 20th in Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway, it will be just the second time the 21-year-old races on "The Monster Mile" in any of NASCAR's three major series. With no Cup or Xfinity starts, the only track history that we have to go off of is a 2020 Truck […]

Is Denny Hamlin A Must Play At Dover International Speedway?

On Saturday afternoon, Denny Hamlin qualified sixth for Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. After a late race incident ended his day on lap 154 last week at Talladega, Hamlin is looking to bounce back at Dover, a track he has a lot of experience on. In 33 starts at "The Monster Mile," the […]

Why You Should Limit Your Exposure To Chase Briscoe In DFS This Weekend

Chase Briscoe is set to start seventh in Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. With four top-10 finishes, and as the 12th-ranked driver in the playoff standings, Briscoe is quietly having a strong 2024 season. Despite being one of the more consistent drivers in the Cup Series this year in actual racing, as a […]

Will Christopher Bell Bounce Back After Disastrous Talladega Weekend?

After a disappointing 38th-place finish at Talladega, Christopher Bell will look to bounce back this weekend when he starts 33rd in Sunday's Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. Despite never winning at "The Monster Mile," there are plenty of reasons to be excited about Bell heading into this race. Not only did he start the […]

Bubba Wallace Finishes 36th At Talladega Superspeedway

23XI driver Bubba Wallace finished 36th in Sunday's Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. While a 36th-place finish is always disappointing, Sunday's race was particularly frustrating given that Wallace is from Mobile, Alabama. Despite running a solid race and spending 62.3% of the contest in the top 15, the eight-year Cup veteran was involved in an […]

Kyle Larson Fails To Deliver Value In DFS At Talladega

On Sunday afternoon, Kyle Larson finished 21st in the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Talladega weekend got off to a rocky start for the former Cup Series champion as he was not allowed to qualify, was forced to start in the back, and was made to do a pass-through penalty due to unapproved adjustments made […]

What Should You Do With Martin Truex Jr. In DFS This Weekend At Talladega?

Martin Truex Jr., who currently sits second in the NASCAR playoff standings, will start sixth in Sunday's Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Heading into a weekend with so much uncertainty given the unpredictable nature of superspeedway racing, Truex is perhaps the biggest question mark on the slate. Although we don't want to ignore that his […]

Will Brad Keselowski Snap His 107 Race Winless Streak At Talladega?

Fresh off a second-place finish at Texas, Brad Keselowski will start 22nd in Sunday's Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Despite being a former series champion, a perennial title contender, and a future hall of famer, Brad Keselowski has not won since the 2021 Talladega spring race, a drought that has now reached 107 races. While […]
