BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 0% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It has been an exciting season to follow the Joe Burrow-led Bengals offense, and plenty of on-field assets have gotten in on the action as a result. One player that has been largely absent so far has been Auden Tate, who many thought would be well on his way to a successful follow-up season after putting up 575 yards receiving off of 40 receptions out of 80 targets in 2019, as the 6'5, 228-lb. Florida State product had seen just 94 snaps, seven targets, four receptions, and 56 receiving yards until the Bengals squared off with the Titans in Week 8.
However, the third-year Cincinnati receiver broke out last week in the Bengals surprising upset victory over Tennessee, catching all seven of his targets from Burrow, good for 65 yards receiving, and also seeing the field for a season-high 33 snaps on offense (45%). The greatly reduced roles of A.J. Green and John Ross have left room for Tate to still contribute, and the inconsistency of targets such as Mike Thomas and Drew Sample have additionally cracked the window of opportunity for the well-sized wide receiver to get his share in the high-volume passing game in a given week behind the likes of Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. In seeing so much work, and capitalizing to the fullest extent, in by far the best game of the Bengals' season, Auden Tate is worth rolling the dice on in the coming weeks.
