ANALYSIS: Alex Collins is back to being a thing again. The fifth-year veteran has shown flashes of being fantasy-relevant throughout his career, including notching 14 touchdowns in brief stints as a starter in Baltimore back in 2017 and 2018. He received 10 carries for 44 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the 49ers, adding two receptions for 34 yards through the air. Starting running back Chris Carson (neck) didn't practice on Wednesday and he's going to be a game-time decision on Thursday Night Football. If he's inactive, Collins figures to step into a sizeable role as the de-facto lead back.

He'll likely be competing with Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas for touches, but recent trends signify that Collins would receive the bulk of the workload in Carson's absence. Collins is still worth a look if Carson is active since it's likely the latter would be somewhat limited due to his injury. Seattle likes to lean on the run a bit and this game has a high 54-point implied total, making Collins an intriguing streamer in Week 5 and potentially moving forward. The Rams rank middle-of-the-pack in FPPG allowed to RB's and they're 10th-worst in rush DVOA.
