BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 5% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: With Trevor Siemian now officially at the helm, the many weapons of the New Orleans Saints offense have had another opportunity to shake out their place in the workload, and it appears that second-year tight end Adam Trautman remains a part of that recipe. After an active yet non-voluminous showing in week one, the 6'5, 253-lb. tight end from the University of Dayton had three-straight weeks of minimal involvement in the passing game, totaling just 113 offensive snaps.
Since then, Trautman has developed into a consistent receiving threat for New Orleans, totaling 18 targets (4.5), eleven catches (2.8), and 130 receiving yards (32.5) in four games since week five, not to mention 245 offensive snaps (61.3), which put him on the field for 86%-88% of the offensive plays over that stretch of time. After this past week, Trautman has officially surpassed Juwan Johnson as the Saints leading tight end, while ranking fourth on the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards behind Alvin Kamara, Marquez Callaway, and Deonte Harris. The touchdown drought should end soon given his college pedigree, size, and athleticism, and with that package rolled together, Adam Trautman is a high-ceiling acquisition at tight end for managers in deeper leagues.
