The Minnesota Vikings are likely to choose Mike Pettine as their new defensive coordinator, according to sources. Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell is expected to land the Vikings head-coaching job after the Super Bowl, and apparently Pettine is on his radar for defensive coordinator. Pettine would give O'Connell, who has no head-coaching experience, some veteran guidance in his first season. Pettine has been coaching in the NFL since 2002 and most recently served as a senior defensive assistant for the Chicago Bears in 2021 after serving as the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers in 2018-20. Pettine was coaching for the New York Jets when O'Connell played for them, and the two coaches for the Cleveland Browns in 2015.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
