The Denver Broncos fired head coach Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur on Sunday, according to a team official. Fangio got the ax after three seasons at the helm in Denver after he went 19-30 and failed to make the postseason. The 63-year-old shouldn't have a problem finding a defensive coordinator around the league after previously working for the Bears, 49ers, Texans, Colts and Panthers. The Broncos have missed the playoffs in each of the last six seasons since winning the Super Bowl, which is a new NFL record. Heading into Saturday's game against the Chiefs, the Broncos defense was No. 9 overall and No. 3 in scoring, but Denver's offense was their downfall in Fangio's time as the head coach. General manager George Paton will have full control over picking the next head coach, and it'll most likely be an offensive-minded coach as the Broncos look to solve their quarterback problem this offseason.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
