NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/22

Good Evening and welcome back! As this article is being written, the slate is going according to plan thus far, excluding Calgary’s domination over the Bruins. Heading into Monday’s slate and we only have one team playing on the second-half of a back-to-back, Buffalo. Carolina comes in with the league's second-lowest goals against and Colorado with the third-best goals for.

Vegas Odds for the Day

Players Out

Players Expected Back

Max Pacioretty - W - Vegas Golden Knights

NHL DFS Goalies

Frederick Anderson- DK $8K || FD $8.4K

Opponent - San Jose Sharks

Anderson has been everything the Hurricanes wanted from him when they signed him. The netminder has been dominant this year and he has won three of his last five games. Overall on the season, he is 11-2-0 with a 0.937 Save Percentage and a solid 1.88 Goals Against. With the form, Carolina is in and the struggles that the Sharks are enduring right now, this is a plus matchup.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Husso(DK $7.9K || FD $8.2K), Tokarski(DK $7.7K || FD $7K), Gibson(DK $7.3K || FD $7.2K)

NHL DFS Centers

Nazem Kadri-DK $6.8K || FD $6.5K

Opponent - Ottawa Senators

This price is very surprising given the form the centerman is in. Kadri is currently on an eight-game point streak with a 4-11-15 line and 24.0 shots. Everyone has been focused on Rantanen and Compher -- when he is healthy --, but nobody will give enough credit to Kadri. He has truly taken a step up since MacKinnon went down and he will once again look to continue his streak here.

Robert Thomas- DK $4K || FD $4.3K

Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights

It continues to blow my mind and most likely others that Thomas is still not priced above $5K. The young center continues to support one of the better lines in the league and he has a 1-5-6 line over his last five appearances. Playing in a fast-paced game against a leaky Vegas defense who is still missing Theodore, this is a great matchup where you can save salary as well.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Rantanen(DK $8.5K || FD $8.1K), Aho(DK $7.6K || FD $8.8K), Jenner(DK $5.8K || FD $4.8K), Getzlaf(DK $5.2K|| FD $6K)

NHL DFS Wings

Wings

Vladamir Tarasenko- DK $6.3K || FD $7.8K

Opponent - Vegas Golden Knights

Plug and play and watch the green accumulate. Tarasenko is back and in a big way. The winger has bounced back mightily from last season and he has a strong trigger finger. Tarasenko is averaging 5.0+ shots over his last five appearances and he has 2.0 goals in that span. This is the perfect spot for him to pot a few against the Golden Knights.

Seth Jarvis- DK $3.3K || FD $3.2K

Opponent - San Jose Sharks

Jarvis makes his way back into the writeup for the second time in a week. Last week I mentioned the rookie and he did not disappoint, so we are going to take another swing at the youngster. Since Jarvis has been put on the top-line with Aho and Svechnikov, he has shined. He also has a three-game goal streak that he will look to extend here, as well as, 12.0 shots in that time frame.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Connor(DK $7.8K || FD $9.1K), Svechnikov(DK $7.4K || FD $8.3K), Guentzel(DK $6.4K || FD $7.5K), Terry(DK $5.3K || FD $7K), Kyrou(DK $5K || FD $6.3K), Burakovsky(DK $4.8K || FD $5K), Kapanen(DK $3.5K || FD $4.3K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Defense

Nicolas Hague- DK $4K || FD $4.1K

Opponent - St. Louis Blues

Hague continues to thrive in the absence of teammate Shea Theodore. Hague has a 1-2-3 line over his last five appearances and he has 9.0 shots and 12.0 blocked shots during that span. With a decent floor and a consistent role on the power-play, he will remain one of the best-valued plays.

Cale Makar- DK $6.7K || FD $7K

Opponent - Ottawa Senators

Makar has been one of the beneficiaries of MacKinnon’s absence. The defenseman has seen more of the puck in each game and he has 3.0 goals and 2.0 assists over his last two appearances, as well as 10.0 shots and 2.0 blocked shots. Ottawa continues to struggle and Makar has the best matchup at the top end of the defense selection.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Werenski(DK $7.1K || FD $6K), DeAngelo(DK $6.2K || FD $5.2K), Ferraro(DK $5K || FD $4.4K), Dahlin(DK $3.7K || FD $4.6K), Perunovich(DK $2.9K || FD $3.5K)

  • COL1
  • CAR1
