Michael McDowell did not have a good start to the week when he finished 30th in the first practice session on the dirt track. His pit crew made adjustments and so did McDowell. The result was an eighth-place finish on Friday and gave the Front Row Motorsports driver some much-needed confidence. He starts 16th on Sunday and could offer a little place differential benefit.
