DraftKings Early CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 3/12/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 3/12/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

We still have one more day of loaded morning college basketball slates. This one isn't exactly loaded. There are only five games, but what it lacks in quantity it makes up in quality. We have the quarterfinals of the ACC, Big Ten(14), and the AAC covered in this one. All five games have implied totals between 133 and 142 points. This is shaping up to be a fun one!

I don't view any of these games as a full fade. You can't really get away with that on a five game slate. However, Michigan is favored by eight points and Alabama is favored by 8.5. Those spreads may tell us where to go a little bit lighter. That said, Alabama has the highest total on the slate and they are a well-balanced team. They should be well represented in every cash line. Some GPP exposure wont be a bad thing either. Wichita State is finally on one of these and they are a nine point favorite over South Florida. I like the Shockers, but they may not shock in a good way when it comes to DFS today.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/12/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Herbert Jones, Alabama ($7,900)

Jones was the SEC player of the year and defensive player of the year for a reason. He's still the engine that makes Alabama go. Yes, there are some value pieces of this team that I like, but this low of a price for a player of this caliber seems a bit absurd. The Tide look poised for a deep run in both tournaments over the next couple of weeks. In the grand scheme of things, Alabama can't do a whole lot to help their seed here, but I expect them to use this as a tune-up for the important tournament. That means getting back to Jones running the team. He dominated Mississippi State in both games this year, coming up with 73.75 DraftKings points over the two contests. That's a nice return for this tag.

D.J. Stewart, Mississippi State ($7,100)

Stewart racked up 33.25 DraftKings points against Kentucky yesterday despite going a dismal 4-15 from the floor. Considering that Stewart shot nearly 40% against the Tide in the regular season, it's reasonable to expect him to be well over 30 DraftKings points here as well. The Bulldogs have a lot more to gain that Alabama does here. I expect Stewart to come out and put up a big game even if they lose. His status as the main playmaker for Mississippi State gives him a higher ceiling than Jones.

Jaden Ivey, Purdue ($6,600)

This is not the same inconsistent freshman that Ohio State saw in the first two games with Purdue. Both of those games were played early in the Big Ten(14) season when Ivey was still getting his footing. Only Minnesota has held Ivey under 22 DraftKings points since Martin Luther King Jr. Day and he has cleared 30 twice in the last four games. I'm not brave enough to say that Ivey clears 30 against a team like Ohio State, but he's got a great shot at 4x value. That's about what we need from him today.

Also consider: Tre Mann, Florida ($8,800); Alterique Gilbert, Wichita State ($6,400); Jahvon Quinerly, Alabama ($6,200); Santiago Vescovi, Tennessee ($4,400)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Isaiah Livers, Michigan ($7,200)

Hunter Dickinson, the Big Ten(14)'s freshman of the year, will get most of the attention from DFS players. That's why I'm switching to Livers. Livers should be over the ankle injury that nagged him at the beginning of this month, causing the Wolverines to lose two out of three games in March. Michigan still has an outside shot at a one seed. Never underestimate the importance of that. He has a higher ceiling and is usually more consistent than Dickinson. Neither are bad plays here. I just think Livers is the key to Michigan's tournament run and he'll need to start playing like it soon. Everyone knows about Franz Wagner. Livers needs to step up next to him again.

Tolu Smith, Mississippi State ($7,000)

Smith has five straight games of over 25 DraftKings points, including a solid 29.75 against Alabama on February 27. That game only netted 123 points, which is very out of character for the Tide. The Bulldogs uglied that game up and had a chance to win it up until the last two minutes. Expect them try to do the same. That will mean lots of boards for Tolu. He has possibly the best floor among forwards on this entire slate.

Michael Durr, South Florida ($5,900)

The Shockers had some problems with the seven footer on March 6 when he went for 30.25 DraftKings points on them. Durr was force against Temple in the first round of the AAC tournament as well even though he went cold from the floor. It seems clear that the Bulls will only go as far as Durr takes them. USF isn't going to win this game, but Durr's back-to-back 30+ DraftKings points games, once of which was against tonight's opponent, has me feeling that he's underpriced. I'll take that action even though everyone expects the Bulls to lose.

Also consider: Franz Wagner, Michigan ($8,400); Trevion Williams, Purdue ($7,400); John Fulkerson, Tennessee ($5,000);
