Browns quarterback (QB) Baker Mayfield is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 15 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Just when we thought the week was over, Baker Mayfield came on Monday to extend the field of high-scoring fantasy players. Yes, Lamar Jackson got away with the W and the slightly highest FP tally, but Lamar is rostered in 99 percent of Yahoo leagues compared to Baker's bargain-availability in almost 60 percent of leagues entering the semifinals and final of the fantasy playoffs!
This marked the second week in a row in which Mayfield has finished exactly as the fifth-best fantasy player of the slate, all positions considered. He was the QB2 in W13 with 29.5 fantasy points and he reached 30.0 fantasy points yesterday to become the QB3 of the week.
Although he was worse on his completion rate (59.6% compared to 75.8% a week ago), Mayfield's monster volume allowed him to make up for that. Baker completed 28 passes for 343 yards and a couple of TDs against just one interception (his first one since Week 7). Oh, and he was able to add 23 yards on the ground that also included an extra score making it three overall on the day for Mayfield.
The W6-W11 span was very rough for Mayfield (four of five games below 8 FP), but he's put up 18.4, 29.5, and 30.0 in the last three weeks. The Giants will be a tough challenge (5th-best defense against fantasy QBs) but if you can afford to acquire Mayfield and you make it to the final game of the fantasy postseason, you can start drooling: the Browns face the second-worst defense in W16 when they'll visit the Jets.
